Tian Gong Kai Wu - R23 Qiaotou Train Station Introduction
In line with the Kaohsiung Metro's theme of "Making Friends with the World through Art," the Ciaotou Metro Station has invited Dr. Zhu Bangxiong from Meinong Ceramics to create a public art piece featuring a ceramic wall. This massive ceramic wall work, located at Exit 2, measures 9 meters in width and 12 meters in height and is titled "Nature's Ingenious Work." The artwork is composed of 1,311 ceramic plates and involves over 70 tons of clay. The geometric pattern that runs through the center symbolizes the abstract consciousness of urban construction, while the upper and lower ends depict the land that nurtures sugarcane. The train transporting sugarcane crosses the Ciaotou land, dispelling clouds and fog, thus ushering in Taiwan's modernization era. "Nature's Ingenious Work," a breathtaking masterpiece, is the artist's tribute to the land and the most beautiful praise for Ciaotou.
