Tian Gong Kai Wu - R23 Qiaotou Railway Station Introduction
In continuation of the Kaohsiung MRT theme "Making Friends with the World through Art," the Ciaotou MRT Station commissioned Dr. Zhu Bangxiong from Meinong Kiln to create a public art ceramic wall for the station. This large ceramic wall, located at the second exit, measures 9 meters in width and 12 meters in height, and is named "The Art of Creation." The artwork consists of 1,311 ceramic plates and requires more than 70 tons of clay. The geometric patterns that span the center symbolize the abstract consciousness of urban construction, while the two ends represent the land that nurtures sugarcane. The train transporting sugarcane crosses the Ciaotou land, parting the clouds and heralding the modern era of Taiwan. "The Art of Creation" is a stunning masterpiece that celebrates the land and pays tribute to the beauty of Ciaotou.
