Tian Gong Kai Wu - R23 Qiaotou Train Station Introduction
To continue the theme of Kaohsiung MRT "Making Friends with the World through Art," the Chedao Station has commissioned Dr. Zhu Bangxiong from Meinong Kiln to create a public art ceramic wall at the station. This large ceramic wall work, located at Exit 2, measures 9 meters wide and 12 meters high, and is named "The Art of Nature." The artwork is composed of 1,311 ceramic tiles, using over 70 tons of clay. The geometric figure spanning the center symbolizes the abstract consciousness of urban construction, while the upper and lower ends represent the land that nurtures sugarcane. The train that carries sugarcane traverses the land of Chedao, parting the clouds and heralding the era of modernization in Taiwan. "The Art of Nature" is a stunning work that celebrates the land and pays tribute to the beauty of Chedao.
