Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction
Established in 2001, the Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum bears the important mission of preserving and passing down Hakka cultural history. It operates under the concept of a community museum, aiming to realize the objectives of cultural subjectivity and regional cultural development, showcasing the historical and cultural diversity of Meinong, and enhancing understanding and interaction among local ethnic groups through community integration. The architectural style features a tobacco barn shape and a traditional quadrangle design, embodying a calm and simple aesthetic. The museum offers a two-story exhibition space for visitors to explore the rich Hakka lifestyle and presents the character of Hakka culture in the Meinong area. It utilizes various media, artifacts, photographs, documents, videos, tape recordings, replica models, ecological landscaping, and interactive displays to present the historical aspects from multiple perspectives, deeply illustrating the interaction between ethnic characteristics and the environment in its exhibits. The museum includes a first-floor special exhibition room, themed halls, and artifact exhibition rooms, as well as a second-floor children's exploration area and a celebration artifact room, all in a serene and comfortable environment, drawing many visitors during holidays.
