Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction
Established in 2001, the Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum carries the important mission of preserving and transmitting Hakka cultural history. It is planned and operated under the concept of a community museum, aiming to realize cultural subjectivity and the development of local culture, showcasing the multifaceted history and culture of Meinong while integrating with the community to enhance understanding and interaction among local ethnic groups. The architectural style features a tobacco barn design and a traditional courtyard layout, exuding a calm and simple atmosphere. The museum's two-story exhibition space provides visitors with insights into the rich Hakka lifestyle and presents the characteristics of Hakka culture in the Meinong area. Through various media, artifacts, photographs, documents, films, videotapes, replica models, ecological landscapes, and interactive displays, it portrays different aspects of historical features while delving into the interaction between ethnic characteristics and the environment reflected in the artifact exhibitions. The entire museum includes a special exhibition room, thematic halls, artifact exhibition rooms on the first floor, and a children's exploration area and celebration artifacts room on the second floor, creating a serene and comfortable environment that attracts many visitors, especially on weekends.
