Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum Introduction
Established in 2001, the Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum carries the important mission of preserving and passing down Hakka cultural history. It operates under the concept of a community museum, aiming to realize cultural subjectivity and regional cultural development, showcasing the multifaceted history and culture of Meinong while integrating with the community to enhance understanding and interaction among local ethnic groups. The architecture features a design inspired by tobacco curing barns and courtyard layouts, presenting a calm and unpretentious style. Inside, the two-story exhibition space provides visitors with insights into the rich Hakka lifestyle and presents the aspects of Hakka culture in the Meinong area. Through various media, artifacts, photographs, documents, films, video tapes, replicas, ecological landscaping, and interactive displays, the museum presents diverse historical features and deeply expresses the interaction between ethnic characteristics and the environment within its exhibits. The entire museum includes a first-floor special exhibition room, themed halls, artifact exhibition rooms, and a second-floor children's exploration area and celebration artifact room, all set in a serene and comfortable environment, attracting numerous visitors during holidays.
