Budo Temple Introduction

The Wude Temple (Zhenwu Hall) in Kaohsiung City, built in 1924, is the oldest and highest administrative level Wude Temple currently in Taiwan. Its red brick building, a fusion of Eastern and Western architectural styles, features totemic arrow target wall decorations and a distinctive windbreak structure at the entrance, which is truly impressive. Historically, it served as a base embodying the spirit of martial arts. With the passage of time, the restored and revitalized Wude Temple has transformed from merely a martial arts performance venue into a new base for cultural exchange between Taiwan and Japan, inviting citizens and travelers to experience the Eastern charm within Kaohsiung's historical context.
