Banana Pier Introduction
Banana Dock was originally a dedicated warehouse for Taiwan's banana exports. Over time, as banana exports declined due to changing market conditions, the facility became less significant. However, its location at the convergence point of Kaohsiung's first and second ports offers a great view of the shipping activity in the harbor. The Harbor Bureau has named it "Guanhai Terrace" and entrusted its management to a private entity to provide an informative waterfront recreational experience. On a weekend afternoon, sitting in the outdoor café at the dock, with sunlight bathing the entire harbor, the shimmering sea sparkles brilliantly, allowing you to fully enjoy the lazy and romantic atmosphere of Kaohsiung Port.
