Gangshan Park Introduction

Located in the Gangshan commercial area, Gangshan Park spans 5.95 hectares and is the oldest park in the Gangshan District. Originally a Shinto shrine, it is adjacent to the thriving Shoutian Temple and has long been an important recreational venue for the public. In 2013, the city government began renovations of the park, preserving old trees, removing outdated facilities, and refurbishing the shrine's torii gate. It features a grassy area with drainage pipes to collect rainwater, storing up to 1,200 tons in a reservoir, and also includes an ecological pond capable of holding around 1,600 tons of water to replenish groundwater, allowing the park to return to a natural green space. The newly designed walking paths are friendly and inviting, allowing visitors to enjoy the sounds of birds and the fresh greenery. The renovated library offers a space for reading and cultural activities. The rebuilt park is not only more spacious and brighter but also integrates ecological, environmental, and flood retention functions, making it a refreshing oasis in the bustling city of Gangshan and a beautiful gathering point that combines recreation and culture.
