Duck Mother King Zhu Yigui Cultural Park Introduction
Duck Mother King Zhu Yigui is known as the most famous figure in Neimen. He moved to Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty and, along with the Fifty-Two Righteous Ones, sparked the most sensational anti-Qing restoration of Ming conflicts island-wide, even proclaiming himself emperor. However, due to internal strife, he was ultimately captured and killed by the Qing army. The heroic image of Zhu Yigui is deeply ingrained in the hearts of the locals, which is why the people of Neimen built temples and shrines for him, including the Duck Mother Shrine and the Xing'an Temple, planned together. In front of the temple yard, there is a well that was used by Zhu Yigui for drinking and duck-raising. It is said that tea brewed and duck eggs cooked using this well water have a particularly sweet and tender flavor.
