Wuzhishan Trail Introduction
Wuzhishan (Five Finger Mountain), located at the junction of Beipu, Zhudong, and Wufeng townships, features a series of peaks that resemble five fingers, hence its name. Historically, Wuzhishan has been renowned for its steep and majestic mountain shapes. The Qing Dynasty's "Records of Tamsui" listed it as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Tamsui, referring to it as "Finger Peaks Soaring into the Sky," and it was also included among the Eight Scenic Spots of Qian Nan under the name "Five Fingers Linking the Clouds." During the Japanese colonial period, Wuzhishan was selected as one of Taiwan's Twelve Scenic Spots. It is very popular among mountain enthusiasts, classified as one of Taiwan's Minor Hundred Peaks, and has also been included among Taiwan's One Hundred Famous Mountains.
