Wuzhishan Trail Introduction

Wuzhi Mountain, located at the junction of the towns of Beipu, Zhudong, and Wufeng, features a series of peaks that resemble five fingers, hence its name. Since ancient times, Wuzhi Mountain has been known for its rugged terrain and majestic appearance. In the Qing Dynasty, it was listed as one of the eight scenic spots of Tamsui, known as "Zhi Peak Rising to the Sky," and was also included in the "Eight Scenic Spots of Qianan" as "Five Fingers Connecting to the Clouds." During the Japanese colonial period, Wuzhi Mountain was selected as one of Taiwan's twelve scenic spots. Wuzhi Mountain is popular among mountain enthusiasts, categorized as one of Taiwan's minor mountains, and is also included in the list of Taiwan's top 100 mountains.
