Wuzhishan Trail Introduction
Wuzhi Mountain, located at the intersection of Beipu, Zhudong, and Wufeng Townships, features a series of peaks resembling five fingers, hence its name. Since ancient times, Wuzhi Mountain has been renowned for its steep and majestic shape. The "Tamsui Hall Gazetteer" from the Qing Dynasty listed it as one of the eight scenic spots of Tamsui, acclaimed as "Fingers Reaching the Sky," and it was also ranked among the "Eight Scenic Spots of Qiannan" as "Five Fingers Connecting the Clouds." During the Japanese colonial period, Wuzhi Mountain was selected as one of Taiwan's twelve scenic spots. Wuzhi Mountain is well-loved by hikers and is classified as one of Taiwan's minor hundred peaks, as well as being included in the list of Taiwan's top hundred mountains.
