Weikaja Persimmon Cake Tourist Farm Introduction
The dried persimmon production in Xinpu has a history of over a hundred years, especially in Hanjing, where the geographical environment is particularly dry. Coupled with Hsinchu's unique strong and dry Jioujiang wind, these factors create the best natural conditions for making dried persimmons. We continue to follow the traditional methods of sun drying, Jioujiang wind drying, and charcoal roasting, preserving the old-fashioned sweet yet not cloying, fragrant, and chewy flavors. Sun-dried persimmons are also the most beautiful scenery during the autumn harvest. Behind the farm, there are two persimmon trees planted on the hillside for visitors to freely explore, photograph, and learn. Weichia Dried Persimmon Tourist Farm focuses on teaching the production process of dried persimmons and the ecology of persimmon fruit, fully showcasing the making process, while even preserving over 200 persimmon trees without harvesting fruit for ecological education activities. Each autumn, the hills are adorned with bright red persimmons, creating a picturesque scene of "clear skies and yellow earth," along with the imagery of "north winds and red persimmons," making it the best place for families to deeply experience the persimmon orchard. There are also making workshops for persimmon dyeing and persimmon dolls, which are fun and engaging!
