Watermelon Farm Cultural and Educational Park Introduction

It is rare to find a place that starts from the perspective of parent-child activities. When they were young, the four sisters, who donned "watermelon rind" hats, found their greatest joy as adults in being able to travel together with family. However, after exploring every corner of Taiwan, they struggled to find an ideal location for parent-child leisure. Thus, the sisters began to conceptualize and create their dream "Watermelon Garden." Proudly pointing to the walkways they paved by hand, Sister Watermelon Two remarked that although the paths for "strollers" are not wide, they save a lot of effort for parents and are also convenient for friends with disabilities. The indoor painting area, favored by children, features repurposed and smoothed-out discarded desks and chairs connected together, adorned with aluminum strips for gardening. Numerous vividly created ants and spiders come to life right before their eyes. Children can fully unleash their creativity and imagination, painting with acrylic colors to express their personal style. In the garden, the insects donned colorful new outfits through painting, shedding the horror typically associated with bugs. Sister Watermelon Two hopes that this DIY project can serve as home decor, not only embodying the significance of recycling but also incorporating the concept of ecological conservation. In the future, butterflies and beetles fluttering around the park will also join the colorful painting initiative.
