Zhu Yu Tea Sweets Potato Uncle Introduction
In the 1990s, the government encouraged farmers to transform their businesses. Zhuang Qianjin, the head of the sweet potato production and marketing class, began working on the preservation of Hakka culture in 1999. Using the exquisite bamboo weaving skills learned from his days as a farmer, he established a bamboo weaving exhibition hall to preserve Hakka culture. His whole family joined in managing the rural ecological tourism of Bamboo Language Tea Pavilion. The itinerary includes Hakka culture, family history, architecture tours, exhibitions of old farming tools, ox cart rides, and classes on roasting sweet potatoes, grass weaving, and bamboo weaving. In the future, there are hopes to expand into bed-and-breakfast accommodations, making Nampu a representative destination for rural and pastoral tourism.
