Bamboo Language Tea and Sweet Potato Uncle Introduction
In the 1997, the government encouraged farmers to transform, and the head of the sweet potato production and marketing team, Zhuang Qianjin, started working on the preservation of Hakka culture in 1999. Utilizing his exquisite bamboo weaving skills learned from farming, he established a bamboo weaving exhibition hall to preserve Hakka culture, with his entire family involved in operating the rural ecological tourism of Zhu Yu Cha Lu. The itinerary includes Hakka culture, family history, architectural tours, displays of old farming tools, a cart ride, and hands-on activities such as sweet potato roasting, grass weaving, and bamboo weaving classes. In the future, there are hopes to expand into homestays, making Nanpu a representative site for rural agricultural tourism.
