Mei Nung Restaurant Introduction
Meino Building's first-floor restaurant features a prominent plaque indicating it is a century-old establishment. Inquiring about the current main proprietor, it turns out that it has indeed been passed down to the fifth generation. Whenever there are many people gathering around the table, I must order the restaurant's famous signature dishes: braised pig's head and white-cut chicken. While braised pig's head is commonly found elsewhere, Meino Building's preparation is particularly fresh and tender, making it unforgettable for those who have tasted it. Additionally, the white-cut chicken is served with a mixture of salt, wine, garlic paste, and Thai basil, creating a unique flavor. Moreover, the signature item not listed on the menu, pig intestine, often sells out first. Many dishes are enriched with fried shallots, which I suspect are the soul of the restaurant.
