Frog Rock Grand Canyon Introduction
On the way from Jian Mountain to Smangus, a giant rock resembling a frog can be seen in the valley, facing the mountain. Legend has it that a giant frog once came here in pursuit of a pair of large mosquitoes. The mosquitoes flew to the mountain top, and the frog was blocked by the steep cliff, unable to cross over and could only look longingly at the mountain. After hundreds of years, it finally transformed into a giant stone. The "Frog Rock" in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County is located in the valley between Jinping Village and Naluo Creek and is quite magnificent, with a deep canyon at its base and a waterfall about 40 meters high, which cascades down spectacularly.
