Frog Stone Grand Canyon Introduction
On the way from Jianshi to Simakusi, a giant rock resembling a frog can be seen in the valley, squatting facing the mountain. Legend has it that a giant frog came here in pursuit of a pair of large mosquitoes. The mosquitoes flew to the mountain top, but the frog was blocked by the steep cliff and could not cross over, remaining gazing at the mountain for hundreds of years until it eventually transformed into a giant stone. "Frog Stone" located in Jinping Village within the valley of Naluo Creek in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, is quite magnificent, with an abyssal gorge beneath it and a waterfall approximately 40 meters high cascading down, creating a spectacular view. It is a beautiful recreational spot that can be accessed from the natural valley. "Frog Stone" is a peculiar stone standing between the mountains, not only resembling a frog but also reflecting the power of nature, making it a unique scenic spot in Jianshi Township, a must-visit location for tourists.
