Frog Rock Canyon Introduction
On the way from Jianshi to Simakusi, there is a giant rock resembling a frog that squats in the valley, facing the mountain. According to legend, a large frog once came here in pursuit of a pair of large mosquitoes. When the mosquitoes flew to the mountain top, the frog was blocked by the steep cliff and could not cross over, so it gazed longingly at the mountain for hundreds of years until it eventually transformed into a giant stone. The "Frog Rock" is located in the valley between Jinping Village and Naluo Creek in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County. It is quite magnificent, with a bottomless gorge beneath it and a waterfall about 40 meters high, cascading down dramatically. This area can be accessed from the natural valley, making it a beautiful recreational spot. "Frog Rock" stands as a peculiar stone in the valley, not only resembling a frog but also showcasing the power of nature. It is a unique sight in Jianshi Township and a must-visit location for tourists.
