Linpi Tomb Introduction

Lin Pi-Jiang was a notable general from Tong'an County, Fujian, serving under Koxinga during the Ming dynasty. He achieved significant military successes and attained the rank of assistant commander. He was initially stationed at Douliu Gate (now Douliu) to establish a military settlement and develop the land. At that time, the local indigenous tribes were numerous, so he led his forces to attack Niuchu Kou (now Zhonghe Village in Zhushan) and Dongpu Wei (now Yanping Village in Zhushan), as well as Zhuwei Village (now Zhuwei Village in Zhushan). One day, his troops were surrounded and suffered from a lack of ammunition and food. More than a hundred of his subordinates died here heroically. In the 29th year of the Republic of China, the Japanese, noting the significance of the site, erected wooden monuments and built embankments for future generations to pay their respects.
