Linpi Tomb Introduction
Lin Pi-jun was from Tong'an County, Fujian. He was a renowned general under Zheng Chenggong during the Ming dynasty, known for his impressive military achievements. He held the rank of Lieutenant General and initially stationed his troops in Douliumen (now Douliou) for military settlement and reclamation. At that time, there were many indigenous people in Zhushan, so he led his troops to attack Niu Chukou (now Zhonghe Village, Zhushan) and Dongpu Rui (now Yanping Village, Zhushan), and stationed at Zhuzhui Village (now Zhuzhui Village, Zhushan). One day, he and his troops were surrounded by indigenous forces, running out of ammunition and provisions. Over a hundred of his men sacrificed their lives there. In the 29th year of the Republic of China, the Japanese saw his legacy and erected a wooden monument to build a dam, providing a place for future generations to pay their respects.
