Linpi Cemetery Introduction
Lin Pi Jiangjun was from Tong'an District, Fujian. He was a renowned general under Zheng Chenggong during the Ming Dynasty, achieving remarkable military successes. He was promoted to the rank of the officer and initially stationed troops at Douliumen (present-day Douliou) for military settlement. At that time, the area was inhabited by indigenous tribes, so he led his troops to attack Niu Chukou (present-day Zhonghe Village, Zhushan) and Dongpu Rui (present-day Yanping Village, Zhushan), as well as Zhuwei Village (present-day Zhuwei Village, Zhushan). One day, he and his troops were surrounded by indigenous fighters, running out of ammunition and supplies. Over a hundred of his men sacrificed themselves there. In the 29th year of the Republic, the Japanese saw his valor as an example and erected a wooden monument and built a dyke for future generations to pay their respects.
