Linpi Tomb Introduction
Lin Ping-Jiang was from Tong'an District, Fujian. He was a renowned general under Zheng Chenggong during the Ming Dynasty, achieving remarkable military success and attaining the rank of army staff officer. He initially arrived at Douliumen (present-day Douliou) to garrison and cultivate the land. At that time, there were many indigenous tribes in Zhushan, so he led his troops to attack Niu Chugou (present-day Zhonghe Village, Zhushan) and Dongpu Ruèi (present-day Yanping Village, Zhushan), stationed at Zhuwei Village (present-day Zhuwei Village, Zhushan). One day, he and his troops were besieged by indigenous forces, running out of ammunition and food, with over one hundred of his men sacrificing themselves there. In 1940, the Japanese saw his example and erected a wooden monument and built a dike for future generations to pay their respects.
