My Home - Puppet Creative Park Introduction

Traditional national essence, intricately showcased. The cultural park established by the descendants of Master Xu Yanqing, who has a background in carving puppet heads for many years, houses famous glove puppet theater characters, including classic figures such as Shi Yanwen, Su Huanchen, and the Black and White Lords. It allows everyone to experience the beauty and details of these puppets up close. Glove puppet theater has been deeply rooted in Taiwan for a hundred years and represents a significant aspect of local culture. The wonderful performances of glove puppet theater are undoubtedly supported by the craftsmanship of puppet carving. Master Xu Yanqing began his work in glove puppet carving in the 1950s and created classic characters popular throughout Taiwan, such as Shi Yanwen, the Mirror Hidden Man, the Black and White Lords, Liu San, the Strange Old Man, and Er Chi. The craft has been passed down to the third generation through the descendants of Master Yanqing.
