My Home - Puppet Creative Park Introduction

Traditional national essence, intricately showcased. Master Xu Yanqing, who has a background in carving puppet heads for many years, has established a creative park for puppet arts that showcases famous puppetry characters created by his family descendants. Classic characters include: Shi Yanwen, Su Huan Zhen, and Hei Bai Lang Jun, allowing everyone to appreciate the beauty and details of the puppets up close. Puppetry has flourished in Taiwan for a century and is a representative aspect of local culture. The captivating puppetry performances are greatly supported by the skilled crafting of the puppets. Master Xu Yanqing began his work in puppetry carving in the 1950s and has created popular classic puppetry characters such as Shi Yanwen, Cangjing Ren, Hei Bai Lang Jun, Liu San, Guai Lao Zi, and Er Chi, among others. Master Yanqing's descendants have also inherited this craft, which has now passed down to the third generation.

Transportation Methods:Southbound: Turn left onto Daye Road at the Dou-Nan Interchange, go towards Dou-Nan, then turn right onto Yanping Section 1, connect to Section 2, and turn right onto Jianguo Third Road. Northbound: After passing the Dalin Interchange, connect to National Freeway No. 78 (Gukeng Line), exit onto Dou-Nan Expressway, and turn left onto Jianguo Third Road. Train: Take a Taiwan Railways train to Dou-Nan Station, then transfer to a taxi to Jianguo Third Road~ My Home.


Parking Information:Parking is available on the sidewalks surrounding the park, and tour buses can make temporary stops along the roadside.


Tickets:Free admission. Puppet Arts Exhibition requires a ticket of NT$50, which can be used for purchases. Free for those under 100 cm.


Remarks:DIY Workshop Class Schedule: Weekdays (Tuesday to Friday) by appointment, classes will open with five sign-ups. Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) class hours are from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Those who purchase a material kit can visit the puppet craft exhibition for free.
