Hushan Reservoir Environmental Education Park Introduction
Hushan Reservoir, an ecological treasure! Established in 2015, it is Taiwan's newest reservoir. The serene trails within the reservoir area create an ecological green corridor, showcasing the local cultural and historical aspects of water management and the construction process of the reservoir. On clear days, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Douliu Plain and even glimpse the distant coastline from Qianshan Park and the observation deck. Hushan Reservoir is the first reservoir in Yunlin County and Taiwan's first off-take reservoir, located in Douliu City and Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, with a storage capacity of 52.18 million tons of water, ranking tenth among all reservoirs in Taiwan; the construction was fully completed at the end of 2015. Initially requiring reservations for visits, it was opened to the public in February 2018 to meet the recreational needs of Yunlin residents, offering approximately three kilometers of peaceful natural beauty.
