Hushan Reservoir Environmental Education Park Introduction
Lakeshore Clean Water, an ecological treasure! Established in 2015, it is the newest reservoir in Taiwan. The tranquil reservoir area has walking paths that create an ecological green corridor, introducing the local cultural and historical aspects of water management as well as the reservoir construction process. On clear days, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Douliu Plain and even the distant coastline from Qianshan Park and the observation deck. Lakeshore Reservoir is the first reservoir in Yunlin County and Taiwan's first side-sluice reservoir, located in Douliu City and Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, with a storage capacity of 52.18 million tons, ranking tenth among Taiwan's reservoirs. The construction was completed at the end of 2015, and it was initially required to make reservations for visits. In response to the recreational needs of the people in Yunlin, it was opened for public visits in February 2018, with a total length of about three kilometers, allowing people to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
