Hushan Reservoir Environmental Education Park Introduction
Lushan Reservoir, an ecological treasure! Established in 2015, it is the newest reservoir in Taiwan. The tranquil pathways in the reservoir area create an ecological green corridor that introduces the local cultural and hydraulic history as well as the construction process of the reservoir. On clear days, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Douliu Plain and even the distant coastline from Qianshan Park and the observation deck. Lushan Reservoir is the first reservoir in Yunlin County and the first off-channel reservoir in Taiwan, located in Douliu City and Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, with a storage capacity of 52.18 million tons, ranking tenth among all reservoirs in Taiwan. The full project was completed at the end of 2015, and it was originally necessary to make a reservation for visits. In response to the recreational needs of the people in Yunlin, it opened for public visits in February 2018, featuring a trail that is about three kilometers long to enjoy the serenity of nature.
