Hushan Reservoir Environmental Education Park Introduction
Lushan Reservoir, an ecological treasure! Established in 2015, it is the newest reservoir in Taiwan. The tranquil pathways in the reservoir area create an image of an ecological green corridor, introducing the local cultural and historical significance of water resources and the construction process of the reservoir. On clear days, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Douliu Plain and even the distant coastline from Qianshan Park and the observation deck. Lushan Reservoir is the first reservoir in Yunlin County and the first off-channel reservoir in Taiwan, located in Douliu City and Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, with a storage capacity of 52.18 million cubic meters, ranking tenth among all reservoirs in Taiwan. The complete engineering was finished by the end of 2015, and it was originally necessary to make a reservation for visits. In response to the recreational needs of the Yunlin community, it was opened for public visits in February 2018, with a total length of approximately three kilometers, allowing visitors to enjoy the serenity of nature.
