Beigang Cultural Center Introduction
1F Exhibition Room, Jiah Lake Performance Hall "Exhibition Room": Various art exhibitions such as crafts, fine arts, calligraphy, and photography can be held here. Applications for the use of the first-floor venue for exhibitions in the following year can be submitted before the end of May each year. "Jiah Lake Music Hall": The Jiah Lake Performance Hall is an exquisite venue in the Yunlin coastal area for professional performing groups, accommodating music, dance, and drama performances to enhance the musical atmosphere in the coastal region. It is named after the Chen Jiah Lake family from the Beigang area, who founded the Beigang Orchestra. After his passing, his son Chen Zhezhen continued the musical philosophy by establishing the Beigang Philharmonic Association. 2F Permanent Exhibition "Beigang Welcomes Mazu Special Exhibition": The second-floor themed exhibition room is a permanent display space themed around "Beigang Welcomes Mazu". This tradition, which has been passed down for over three hundred years, is listed as an important national folk cultural asset. On the 19th and 20th days of the third lunar month each year, the Beigang area becomes crowded with people and the sound of firecrackers is continuous, earning the nickname "Beigang Little New Year." The "live performance flower carts" are unique to the Beigang procession. The special exhibition on "Beigang Welcomes Mazu" showcases artifacts related to the procession, along with five related videos, interactive games, and a set of "Beigang Welcomes Mazu Glazed Ceramics Procession Team," capturing the lively atmosphere and majestic presence during the Mazu procession.
