Beigang Cultural Center Introduction
1F Exhibition Room, Jiah Lake Performance Hall: The "Exhibition Room" can host various cultural exhibitions such as crafts, fine arts, calligraphy, and photography. Applications for the use of the first floor of the exhibition hall for the following year's exhibitions can be made before the end of May each year. The "Jiah Lake Music Hall": Jiah Lake Performance Hall is a refined venue in the Yunlin coastal area available for professional performing arts groups. Music, dance, and drama can all be held here, enhancing the musical atmosphere of the coastal region. It is named after the Chen family of Beigang, known for their musical heritage. The Chen family established the Beigang Orchestra, and after the passing of Chen Jiazhen, his son Chen Zhezheng continued the musical philosophy by founding the "Beigang Philharmonic Association." 2F Permanent Exhibition: "Beigang Mazu Pilgrimage Special Exhibition": The second-floor themed exhibition room is a permanent display space centered around the "Beigang Mazu Pilgrimage." This tradition, which has been passed down for over three hundred years, is listed as an important national folk cultural asset. On the 19th and 20th days of the third lunar month each year, the Beigang area sees thousands of people on the streets, with continuous sounds of firecrackers, earning it the nickname "Beigang Little New Year." Among the highlights is the "Real Person Art Car," a unique procession in Beigang. The "Beigang Mazu Pilgrimage" special exhibition features artifacts related to the procession, five Mazu pilgrimage-themed videos, interactive games, and a display of the "Beigang Mazu Pilgrimage Guozi Pottery Procession Team," showcasing the lively scenes and solemn atmosphere during the Mazu pilgrimage.
