Dongshi Eco-Park Introduction
Dongshi Environmental Park, established at the end of 2010, was beautified and restored by the Huxi Township Office. It is located near the seaside and features scenic facilities such as an entrance symbolic wall, a labyrinth made of limestone, and stone-paved walkways. During the flower season, the landscape filled with cosmos flowers attracts a large number of independent travelers. Previously, this area was the earliest garbage landfill in Penghu, which stopped being used in 2003 due to saturation. The township office repurposed the site for the Dongshi landfill; within the park, there is a limestone maze, scenic pathways, flower trellises, and stone tables and chairs as part of the park landscape planning. The limestone maze is about 100 centimeters high and is quite small; the surrounding area is a vast prairie, and in one corner, there is a traditional red-painted ox cart. Dongshi Environmental Park is located near the seaside and Penghu Airport, conveniently situated near flight paths. In the summer, when the cosmos flowers bloom, it becomes an excellent spot for taking photos, enjoying the scenery, feeling the breeze, and watching planes. [Recommended stay time] 0.5 hours.
