Dongshi Environmental Protection Park Introduction
Dongshi Environmental Park, established at the end of 2010, was rejuvenated by the Huxi Township Office. Located near the seaside, it features landscape facilities such as an entrance wall, a labyrinth made of stone, and slate pathways. During the blooming season, the fields filled with Cosmos flowers sway elegantly, attracting a large number of independent travelers. This area was once the earliest landfill site in Penghu, which ceased operations in 2003 due to saturation. The township office repurposed the Dongshi landfill area into a park; within the park, there is a labyrinth made of coral stone, scenic walkways, flower trellises, stone tables, and stone benches as part of the park's landscaping. The coral stone maze stands about 100 centimeters high and is quite small. Surrounding it is a large grassland, which also features a traditional red-painted ox cart in one corner. Dongshi Environmental Park is close to the seaside and Penghu Airport, conveniently located near the flight path. In the summer, when Cosmos flowers are in full bloom, this is an excellent spot for taking photos, enjoying the scenery, feeling the breeze, and watching airplanes. 【Recommended stay duration】 0.5 hours
