Dongshi Environmental Park Introduction
Dongshi Environmental Park, established at the end of 2010, was beautified and rehabilitated by the Luku Township Office. This park is located near the coast and features scenic facilities such as an entrance imagery wall, a rock maze, and stone-paved paths. During the blooming season, the fields of Tithonia diversifolia sway attractively, drawing large numbers of independent travelers. Previously, this area was the earliest landfill in Penghu, which ceased operations in 2003 due to saturation. The township office repurposed the land of the Dongshi landfill. Within the park, there is a rock maze, scenic walkways, flower trellises, and stone tables and chairs. The rock maze is about 100 centimeters high, making it a small labyrinth; surrounding it is a vast grassland, and in one corner, there is a traditional red-painted ox cart on display. Dongshi Environmental Park, located near the coast and Penghu Airport, is perfectly situated by the flight path. During summer, with the Tithonia diversifolia in full bloom, it serves as an excellent spot for photography, sightseeing, enjoying the breeze, and watching planes. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours.
