Lingxiao Pagoda, Chongguang Borough Introduction
In the early days before the construction of the cross-sea bridge, the geography between Tongliang and Xiyu was commonly known as "Hǒumén." Environmentally, it appeared that seawater would rush directly towards the village, and the western end of Chongguang Village, known as Caozawei, used to belong to the first cemetery in Magong. Therefore, the deity in Weiling Temple instructed the construction of a tower to mitigate the geographical flaw, naming it "Lingxiao Pagoda." The gourd at the top of the tower faces all directions and, along with the "Zhangshui Divine Stone Tablet" between Ritan and Yuelan, protects the entire village.
