Before the construction of the cross-sea bridge, the geography between Tongliang and Xiyu was commonly referred to as "Houbian." Environmentally, it seems that seawater could rush directly into the village, and the western end of Chongguangli is called Caomoutou, which used to be part of the first cemetery in Magong. Therefore, the King of the Chenguang Temple instructed that a tower should be built to counteract the geographical defects, naming it "Lingxiaobao Tower." The gourd on top of the tower faces all directions and, together with the "Zhangshui God Stone Tablet" between Sun Lake and Moon Lake, protects the entire village.
