KANO Park Introduction
The KANO Park in Chiayi City was completed in August 2017, allowing everyone to rediscover the proud baseball history of Chiayi City. The outdoor musical theater and baseball sculpture area, located opposite the Family Education Center, feature bronze baseball bats and glove seating. The ground is embedded with stone slabs that reveal lines from the movie "KANO" upon closer inspection. For example, "The papaya tree with no retreat will surely bear delicious fruit," and "There are no shortcuts to playing baseball well, only hard practice." The "Baseball Century Avenue," which is 40 meters wide and 180 meters long, was once the essential route for the Chiayi Agricultural College baseball team to reach the ballpark. Both the stone slabs on the ground and the nearby baseball Hall of Fame wall carefully present the history of the Chiayi Agricultural College baseball team, introducing the 16 players who reached the finals of the Koshien Stadium. Of course, one cannot miss the KANO landscape ball, weighing 4 tons and measuring 5 meters in diameter, made of aluminum alloy and embedded with over 120 hollow rings. During the day, it shines in the sunlight, while at night, it offers a colorful light show, each presenting a different charm. It's also a great place for creative photography, whether you want to hold the ball in your hand or strike a quirky pose with it. You can capture unique shots from various angles!
