Yangmingshan Hot Springs Area - Xiaoyoukeng Introduction
Xiaoyoukeng is a geological scenic area formed by post-volcanic activity. From the Xiaoguanyin Station on Yangjin Highway, a right turn leads to a viewing trail characterized by fumaroles, sulfur crystals, hot springs, and spectacular collapse topography formed by "post-volcanic activity." From the viewing platform here, one can also enjoy panoramic views of volcanic cones such as Zhuzi Mountain, Datun Mountain, Qixing Mountain, and Xiaoguanyin Mountain, as well as the Jinshan coast and parking areas. Visitors who enjoy observing plants can take a short walk of about ten minutes to the nearby Arrow Bamboo Forest Trail to see the arrow bamboo forest, miscanthus grasslands, and volcanic plants.
