Yangmingshan Hot Spring Area - Xiaoyoukeng Introduction
Xiao You Keng is a post-volcanic activity geological landscape area. It can be reached by turning right at the Xiaoguanyin Station on the Yangjin Highway to access the viewing trail. The area is characterized by features formed by "post-volcanic activity," such as fumaroles, sulfur crystals, hot springs, and spectacular collapses. From the viewing platform here, one can also gaze out at volcanic cones such as Zhuzi Mountain, Datun Mountain, Qixing Mountain, and Xiaoguanyin Mountain, as well as the Jinshan coastline and parking area. For visitors who enjoy observing plants, there is a nearby Arrow Bamboo Forest Trail that takes only about ten minutes to traverse, offering the chance to observe arrow bamboo forests, Miscanthus meadows, and volcanic plants.
