Evergreen Maritime Museum Introduction

The establishment of the Evergreen Maritime Museum is the long-time wish of Mr. Chang Jung-fa, the president of Evergreen Group. He aims to express his deep affection for the ocean through this maritime museum and to promote maritime education in Taiwan. This is a museum themed around maritime activities, suitable for visitors of different generations and backgrounds. The museum boasts a large collection of diverse model ships, ranging from ancient canoes built by humans using excavation techniques to various types of sailboats, motor ships, and working vessels developed in the West; it also includes bamboo rafts reflecting the local customs of Taiwan's island communities, as well as king boats that hold religious significance. Additionally, the museum showcases numerous paintings with marine backgrounds, spanning from the 18th to the 20th century, depicting scenes from wartime chaos to shimmering marine sails, allowing visitors to appreciate the unique oceanic imagery captured by artists from various eras. Furthermore, the Evergreen Maritime Museum also features a maritime exploration area, equipped with navigational instruments and multimedia interactive displays, enabling the audience to experience knowledge related to sea navigation firsthand.
