Evergreen Maritime Museum Introduction
The establishment of the Evergreen Maritime Museum was a long-standing wish of Mr. Chang Jung-Fa, the president of Evergreen Group, with the hope of expressing his deep connection to the ocean and promoting maritime education in Taiwan. This is a maritime-themed museum suitable for visitors of different generations and backgrounds. The museum houses a vast collection of diverse ship models, ranging from the canoes built by ancient humans using excavation techniques to various sailing ships, mechanically powered vessels, and working boats developed in the West. It also includes bamboo rafts that reflect the local customs of Taiwan's island communities, as well as Wang boats with religious significance. In addition, the museum showcases a notable number of paintings with maritime themes, spanning from the 18th to the 20th century, featuring scenes from war-torn times to the dazzling reflections of sails on the sea, allowing visitors to appreciate the unique marine imagery crafted by artists of various eras. Moreover, the Evergreen Maritime Museum also includes a navigation exploration area, equipped with maritime instruments and multimedia interactive displays, allowing audiences to personally experience knowledge related to maritime navigation.
