Evergreen Maritime Museum Introduction

The establishment of the Evergreen Maritime Museum has long been the wish of Mr. Chang Jung-Fa, the president of the Evergreen Group, who hopes to express his deep bond with the ocean and promote maritime education in Taiwan through the museum. This is a maritime-themed museum suitable for visitors of different generations and backgrounds. The museum houses a large collection of a diverse range of model ships, from ancient canoes built by humans using excavation methods to various sailing vessels, mechanized boats, and working ships developed in the West; it also features bamboo rafts that showcase the maritime culture of Taiwan's island community, as well as the Wang boats, which hold religious significance. Additionally, there are numerous paintings set against maritime backgrounds on display, spanning the 18th to 20th centuries, depicting scenes from tumultuous wars to serene sailing on sparkling waters, allowing visitors to appreciate the unique nautical imagery captured by artists from different eras. Furthermore, the Evergreen Maritime Museum also includes a maritime exploration area, equipped with navigational instruments and multimedia interactive exhibits to allow audiences to personally experience knowledge related to maritime navigation.
