Evergreen Maritime Museum Introduction

The establishment of the Evergreen Maritime Museum is the aspiration of Mr. Chang Rong-fa, the president of the Evergreen Group, for many years. He hopes to express his deep affection for the ocean and promote maritime education in Taiwan through this museum. This is a maritime-themed museum suitable for visitors of different generations and backgrounds. The museum houses a vast collection of various ship models, ranging from the dugout canoes built by ancient humans to various sailing ships, powered boats, and workboats developed in the West. It also features bamboo rafts that reflect the local customs of Taiwan's island communities, as well as ceremonial boats like the Wang Boat that hold religious significance. Additionally, the museum exhibits numerous paintings with maritime backgrounds, spanning from the 18th to the 20th century. Visitors can appreciate the unique marine scenes depicted by artists from different eras, from the tumultuous battlefields to the shimmering sails on the ocean. Furthermore, the Evergreen Maritime Museum includes a nautical exploration area, equipped with navigational instruments and multimedia interactive displays, allowing audiences to personally experience the knowledge related to maritime navigation.
