Evergreen Maritime Museum Introduction

The establishment of the Evergreen Maritime Museum has been a long-time dream of Mr. Chang Jung-fa, the president of the Evergreen Group. He hopes to convey his deep connection with the ocean and promote maritime education in Taiwan through this museum. This is a maritime-themed museum suitable for visitors from different generations and backgrounds. The museum houses a rich collection of model ships, ranging from ancient canoes built by early humans through excavation to various types of sailing ships, motorized vessels, and working boats developed in the West. It also features bamboo rafts that reflect the island culture of Taiwan, as well as ceremonial boats that hold religious significance. Additionally, the museum displays numerous paintings set against maritime backgrounds, spanning from the 18th to the 20th centuries. Visitors can appreciate the unique maritime scenes captured by artists from different eras, from the turbulent battlefields to the shimmering reflections of sails on the sea. Moreover, the Evergreen Maritime Museum also includes a navigation exploration area, featuring navigational instruments and multimedia interactive displays that allow visitors to personally experience knowledge related to maritime navigation.
