Xinsheng Park Rose Garden Introduction
Xinsheng Park was opened in 1978 and is located at the intersection of the Xinsheng Elevated Bridge, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street, covering an area of nearly 20 hectares. The park features various facilities, including a Xinsheng heated swimming pool, baseball fields, basketball courts, and an eco-friendly "Maze Garden." In recent years, it has introduced the "Earth Traveling Playground," providing a great recreational spot for both adults and children. The park is also home to nine sculptures of different sizes scattered across its corners, named "Leisure Time," "Peace on Earth," "Crane Flock," "Hope," "Thriving," "Friendship and Peace," "Dad's Words," "Direction of Spring," and "Unity," adding a rich cultural atmosphere to the park. Xinsheng Park was designated as one of the four major exhibition areas at the 2010 Taipei Flora Expo, incorporating the nearby Lin An Tai Historic House, planned as the "Dream Area (Xinsheng Park)," "Tea Area (Lin An Tai Historic House)," and connecting to the Dajia Riverside Park area, featuring the "Flower Tunnel-Green Archway" made of various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden, located within the Flora Expo Xinsheng Park, transformed the outdoor exhibition area of the Wellness Center into a rose garden managed by the Taipei City Government's Public Works Department. In 2021, three new areas were added: "Colorful Rose Garden," "Breeder's Garden," and "Garden Plant Exhibition Area." In 2022, a new area called "Secret Garden" was established, featuring a romantic heart-shaped water landscape, providing the public with more photo opportunities. Additionally, due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, one can often see planes flying low overhead, creating a unique scene combining beautiful park views with passing aircraft. The Taipei Rose Exhibition held every March is a must-see, showcasing rose varieties from around the world, along with various scenic displays and installation arts, making it an ideal spot for couples, spouses, and families to enjoy the romantic atmosphere surrounded by roses.
