Xinsheng Park - Rose Garden Introduction
Xinsing Park was completed in 1978 and is located at the intersection of the Xinsing Elevated Bridge, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street, covering an area of nearly 20 hectares. The park features various facilities, including a warm water swimming pool, baseball field, basketball court, and an environmentally themed "Maze Garden." In recent years, a "Global Travel Playground" has been added, providing a great place for adults and children to play and relax. The park also has nine different sculptures scattered around, named "Leisurely Years," "Peace Across the Land," "Groups of Cranes," "Hope," "Thriving," "Friendship and Peace," "Words of Dad," "Spring's Direction," and "Unity," adding rich cultural ambiance to the park. Xinsing Park was selected as one of the four main exhibition areas for the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo, incorporating the nearby Lin An Tai Historical House, themed as "Dream Area (Xinsing Park)," "Tea Area (Lin An Tai Historical House)," and connecting to the Dajia Riverside Park Zone with a "Tunnel of Flowers - Green Path of Dawn" made of various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden, located within the Flora Expo Xinsing Park, was transformed by the Taipei City Government's Department of Public Works to feature roses in the outdoor exhibition area of the wellness center. In 2021, three new zones "Colorful Rose Garden," "Breeder's Garden," and "Horticultural Exhibition Area" were added, and in 2022, a new area called "Secret Garden" was built, creating a romantic heart-shaped water feature for more photo opportunities. Additionally, due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, visitors can often see planes flying low overhead, creating a unique scene of beautiful park scenery combined with passing aircraft. The Taipei Rose Exhibition held every March is a must-see, showcasing rose varieties from around the world, along with various landscaping and installation art, making it perfect for couples, spouses, and families to enjoy the romantic atmosphere surrounded by roses.
