Xinsheng Park Rose Garden Introduction
Xinsheng Park was completed in 1978 and is located at the junction of the Xinsheng Elevated Bridge, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street, covering an area of nearly 20 hectares. The park features various facilities, including the Xinsheng Warm Water Swimming Pool, a baseball field, and a basketball court, as well as an environmentally themed "Maze Garden." In recent years, it has introduced the "Earth Travel Playground," providing a great place for adults and children to play, relax, and exercise. The park also has nine different sculptures scattered throughout its corners, named "Enjoying the Years," "Harmony Across the Land," "Cranes Group," "Hope," "Flourishing," "Friendship and Peace," "Father's Words," "Spring's Direction," and "Unity," adding rich cultural ambiance to the park. Xinsheng Park was designated as one of the four major exhibition areas during the 2010 Taipei Flower Expo, incorporating the nearby Lin An Tai Historical House, and was planned as "Dream Zone (Xinsheng Park)," "Tea Zone (Lin An Tai Historical House)," and connecting to the Dajia Riverside Park area with the "Flower Tunnel - Green Architecture Dawn" made of various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden, located within the Xinsheng Park, is a transformed outdoor area of the health house managed by the Taipei City Government's Public Works Department and was planted with roses. In 2021, three new zones were added: the "Colorful Rose Garden," "Breeder's Garden," and "Horticultural Plant Exhibition Area." In 2022, the newly built "Secret Garden" created a romantic heart-shaped water landscape, providing more photo opportunities for the public. Additionally, due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, planes can often be seen flying low overhead, making the beautiful scenery paired with passing aircraft a truly unique sight. The annual Taipei Rose Exhibition in March is not to be missed, featuring rose varieties from around the world, along with various landscapes and installation art in the exhibition area, making it a perfect spot for couples, spouses, and families to enjoy the flowers and experience the romantic atmosphere surrounded by roses.
