Xinsheng Park - Rose Garden Introduction
Xinxing Park was completed in 1978, located at the intersection of Xinxing Elevated Bridge, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street, covering an area of nearly 20 hectares. The park offers a variety of facilities, including a heated swimming pool, a baseball field, and a basketball court, as well as an environmentally-themed "Maze Garden." In recent years, the "Earth Travel Playground" has been opened, providing a great place for adults and children to play, relax, and exercise. The park features nine sculptures of varying sizes scattered throughout, named "Leisurely Years," "Harmony Across the Land," "Cranes," "Hope," "Flourishing," "Friendship and Peace," "Words of Dad," "Direction of Spring," and "Unity," enriching the park's cultural atmosphere. Xinxing Park was selected as one of the four exhibition areas in the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition, incorporating the nearby Lin An Tai Historical House, planned as "Dream Zone (Xinxing Park)," "Tea Zone (Lin An Tai Historical House)," and connecting to Dajia Riverside Park Area, featuring the "Flower Tunnel - Green Constructed Path" made of various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden, located within the Flora Expo Xinxing Park, was transformed from the outdoor exhibition area of the health center into a rose garden by the Public Works Department of Taipei City Government. In 2021, three new zones were added: "Colorful Rose Garden," "Breeder's Garden," and "Horticultural Plant Exhibition Area." In 2022, the newly constructed "Secret Garden" created a romantic heart-shaped water feature, providing more photogenic spots for visitors. Additionally, due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, planes can often be seen flying low overhead, creating a unique scene of the park's beauty combined with soaring aircraft. The annual Taipei Rose Festival in March is a must-see event, showcasing rose varieties from around the world, along with various landscaping and installation art, making it an ideal place for couples, married couples, and families to enjoy the floral display and the romantic atmosphere surrounded by roses.
