Xinsheng Park Rose Garden Introduction
Xinshe Park was completed in 1978 and is located at the intersection of the Xinsheng Elevated Bridge, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street, covering nearly 20 hectares. The park features various facilities, including a warm-water swimming pool, baseball field, and basketball court, along with an environmentally themed "Maze Garden." In recent years, the "Earth Travel Playground" has been added, providing a great place for adults and children to play, relax, and exercise. The park also has nine sculptures of varying sizes scattered throughout, named "Leisurely Years," "Harmony Spreading Across the Earth," "Herd of Cranes," "Hope," "Flourishing," "Friendship and Peace," "Words of Father," "Direction of Spring," and "Unity," adding rich cultural flavor to the park. Xinshe Park was selected as one of the four major exhibition areas during the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition, incorporating the nearby Lin An Tai Historical House, and planned as the "Dream Area (Xinshe Park)," "Tea Area (Lin An Tai Historical House)," and connecting to Dajia Riverside Park through the "Tunnel of Flowers - Green Architecture Walk," made up of various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden, located within the Flora Exposition Xinshe Park, transformed the outdoor exhibit area of the wellness center into a rose garden by the Public Works Department of Taipei City Government. In 2021, three new zones were added: "Colorful Rose Garden," "Breeder's Garden," and "Horticultural Plant Display Area." In 2022, a new area named "Secret Garden" was created, featuring a romantic heart-shaped water feature, providing the public with more picturesque environments for photography. Additionally, due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, low-flying planes can often be seen passing overhead, creating a unique scene with the park's beauty combined with airplanes flying across the sky. The annual Taipei Rose Exhibition in March is a must-see, gathering rose varieties from around the world, with various landscaping and installation art on display, making it perfect for couples, spouses, and families to enjoy the romantic atmosphere surrounded by roses.
