Xinsheng Park Rose Garden Introduction
Xinshe Park was completed in 1978, located at the intersection of the Xinshe Elevated Bridge, Minzu East Road, Songjiang Road, and Binjiang Street, covering nearly 20 hectares. The park features various facilities, including a heated swimming pool, baseball field, and basketball court, along with an eco-friendly "Maze Garden." In recent years, the park has introduced the "Earth Travel Playground," providing a great place for adults and children to play, relax, and exercise. The park also has nine statues of different sizes scattered throughout its corners, named "Leisurely Years," "Peace Across the Land," "Cranes," "Hope," "Thriving," "Friendship and Peace," "Words of Father," "Direction of Spring," and "Unity," adding rich cultural ambiance to the park. Xinshe Park was selected as one of the four main exhibition areas during the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition, incorporating the nearby Lin An Tai Historical House, and was planned into the "Dream Area (Xinshe Park)," "Tea Area (Lin An Tai Historical House)," as well as connecting to the Dajia Riverside Park area, featuring the "Flower Tunnel - Green Architecture Path" made of various flowers, trees, and bamboo structures. The Taipei Rose Garden is located within the Flora Expo Xinshe Park, where the Taipei City Government's Bureau of Public Works renovated the outdoor exhibition area of the Health and Wellness Center to plant roses. In 2021, three new areas were added, namely "Colorful Rose Garden," "Breeder's Garden," and "Horticultural Plant Exhibition Area," with a new "Secret Garden" created in 2022 to form a romantic heart-shaped water feature, providing the public with even more photo opportunities. Additionally, due to its proximity to Songshan Airport, it is not uncommon to see airplanes flying low overhead, combined with the beautiful scenery of the park, creating a truly unique view. The Taipei Rose Exhibition held every March is a must-see, featuring rose varieties from around the world, along with various landscaping and installation art within the exhibition area, making it a perfect spot for couples, spouses, and families to enjoy the romantic atmosphere surrounded by roses.
