Taipei Botanical Garden - Angel's Pavilion Introduction
The Taipei Botanic Garden, a rare combination of a diamond-level green building and the expertise of Taiwan's top horticulturists, focuses on the interplay between humans, plants, and the environment. It showcases a miniature representation of Taiwan's ecological environment by grouping plants from various regions according to different climates and geographies. It is home to the only exhibition greenhouse in Taiwan that displays the largest variety of plants per unit area. The exhibition areas of the Taipei Botanic Garden include the Taiwan Native Plant Area, featuring local plant species; the Tropical/Subtropical Plant Area, which embodies the essence of tropical islands; the Orchid and Fern Display Area, showcasing a dazzling array of flowers; the Succulent Plant Area, with its unique and varied shapes; the Temperate Plant Area, offering a feast for both the eyes and nose; and the Alpine Plant Area, representing resilience through its high-mountain species. Additionally, the Temperate Plant Area features a display of begonias, provided by Professor Peng Ching-yi from Academia Sinica, who has sourced over a hundred varieties globally for more than 20 years, specifically highlighting this uniquely leaf-shaped and beautifully patterned flower. A total of over a thousand plant varieties are exhibited throughout the garden, each competing in stunning beauty to showcase their unique characteristics. (Source: Taipei Botanic Garden)
