Mengjia Longshan Temple Introduction

At the intersection of Xichang Street and Guilin Road in Wanhua District stands a monument to the old site of Mengjia Xuantian Temple. In the past, Mengjia grew into a prosperous commercial settlement relying on water transport. To ensure the safety of navigation and water transport, merchants in Mengjia funded the construction of Mengjia Xuantian Temple during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, dedicating it to the worship of Emperor Yu (Da Yu). However, due to the temple's old damage and the urban planning implemented by the Japanese government at the time, the temple was dismantled and relocated, fading into history.
