Mengjia Sui-Sian Temple Ruins Introduction

At the intersection of Xichang Street and Guilin Road in Wanhua District, there is a stele marking the site of the old Monga Water Immortal Temple. In the past, Monga grew into a prosperous commercial settlement relying on water transportation. To bless the safety of maritime navigation and water transport, merchants in Monga initiated the construction of the Monga Water Immortal Temple during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, honoring Emperor Yu (Da Yu). However, due to the old temple's damage and the urban planning implemented by the Japanese government at the time, the Water Immortal Temple was dismantled and relocated, becoming a part of history.
