Cai Dongxing号, located on Huanhe West Road in Yonghe District, is as popular as Zhou's Rice Cake and is a well-known rice cake store in New Taipei City. What makes Cai Dongxing号 special is its focus solely on the production of rice cakes, specifically the "Ningbo Rice Cake" inherited from Zhejiang. It uses Penglai rice as the main ingredient, which is washed and then slowly ground into rice paste by adding water. The result is a chewy texture with a delicate mouthfeel and a unique sense of density.
