Dajia Wharf Introduction

Dajia Wharf is located on the left bank of the Keelung River in Yuanshan. Yuanshan, formerly known as Yuanzai Mountain, is situated at the head of the Dalongdong terrain. Due to the flow of the Keelung River, it was once a transitional marsh area for seawater exchange. Excavated sites and shell mounds in the Yuanshan area have proven the existence of early settlements. Adjoining Yuanshan is the Jiantan area, named after Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong) who extracted water from the sword pond there. During the Japanese occupation, the Japanese built the Taiwan Shrine and the Jingu Gaien Garden next to the current Yuanshan Hotel and west of the Martyrs' Shrine, highlighting the importance of this geographical location. Dajia Wharf is located about 200 meters west of the Dazhi Bridge on the southern bank of the Keelung River. It serves as a yacht harbor for the "Blue Waterway," offering two round-trip routes: from Dajia to Yuanshan and from Dajia to the Neihu Science Park.
