Dajia Wharf Introduction

Dajia Wharf is located on the left bank of the Keelung River in Yuanshan, which was formerly known as Yuanzai Mountain. It is situated at the head of the Dalongang terrain. Due to the flow of the Keelung River, it was once a wetland area that allowed for the exchange of seawater. Excavations of the Yuanshan site and shellmounds provide evidence of the living sites of ancient inhabitants. Adjacent to Yuanshan is the Jiantan area, named after National Hero Zheng Chenggong, who drew water from the Jian Water Pool. During the Japanese occupation, a Taiwan Shrine and the Outer Garden of the Shrine were built in the area adjacent to the west of the Loyalty Temple beside the current Yuanshan Hotel, highlighting the importance of the geographical location. Dajia Wharf is situated on the southern bank of the Keelung River, approximately 200 meters west of Dazhi Bridge. This location serves as a yacht dock for the "Blue Waterway," providing two round-trip routes from Dajia to Yuanshan and Dajia to Neihu Technology Park.
