Dajia Wharf Introduction
Dajia Wharf is located on the left bank of the Keelung River in Yuanshan, which was formerly known as Yuanzai Mountain. It sits at the head of the Dalongdong terrain, and due to the passage of the Keelung River, this area was once a wetland for the influx and outflow of seawater. The excavated Yuanshan site and shell mounds prove the location where early ancestors lived. Close to Yuanshan is the Jiantan area, named after Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong) who took water from the sword pond. During Japanese rule, the Japanese built the Taiwan Shrine and the outer garden of the shrine in the area west of the Zhonglie Temple, next to the current Yuanshan Hotel, indicating its significant geographic location. Dajia Wharf is located about 200 meters west of Dazhi Bridge on the south bank of the Keelung River. It serves as the yacht marina for the "Blue Waterway," offering two round-trip routes: from Dajia to Yuanshan and from Dajia to the Neihu Technology Park.
