Dajia Wharf Introduction

Dajia Wharf is located on the left bank of the Keelung River in Yuanshan. Yuanshan, formerly known as Yuanzai Mountain, is the head of the Dalongdong terrain. Due to the flow of the Keelung River, it was once a wetland area where seawater flowed in and out. The excavated Yuanshan archaeological site and shell mounds provide evidence of the settlement of early ancestors. Right next to Yuanshan is the Jiantan area, named after Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong) who drew water from the water pond with his sword. During the Japanese occupation, the Japanese built the Taiwan Shrine and the Jingu Gaien Garden in the area west of the Chonglie Shrine next to the current Yuanshan Hotel, indicating the importance of its geographical location. Dajia Wharf is located on the south bank of the Keelung River, about 200 meters west of the Dazhi Bridge. It serves as a yacht harbor for the "Blue Waterway," providing two round-trip routes from Dajia to Yuanshan and from Dajia to the Neihu Technology Park.
