Dajia Wharf Introduction

Dajia Wharf is located on the left bank of the Keelung River at Yuanshan. Yuanshan, formerly known as Yuanzai Mountain, is situated at the head of the Dalongdong terrain. Due to the passage of the Keelung River, it was once a brackish wetland area for the inflow and outflow of seawater. Excavated sites such as the Yuanshan site and shell mounds provide evidence of the location where the ancestors lived. Adjacent to Yuanshan is the area of Jiantan, which is named after Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong), who drew water from the "Sword Pond." During the Japanese colonial period, the Japanese built the Taiwan Shrine and the Imperial Shrine Garden near the site located west of the Chung Li Temple next to the current Yuanshan Hotel, highlighting the geographical significance of this area. Dajia Wharf is located about 200 meters west of the Dazhi Bridge on the south bank of the Keelung River. This is the yacht harbor for the "Blue Waterway," which offers two round-trip routes: from Dajia to Yuanshan and from Dajia to the Neihu Technology Park.
