Ruihou Cycling Path Introduction
The Ruifang-Houkeng Bicycle Path is located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City. The starting point is from Ruifang Railway Station to Houtong Railway Station. This bicycle path, approximately 5 kilometers long, runs along the banks of the Keelung River and beside the Yilan Line railway. One side features the railway, where trains can be seen speeding by from time to time, while the other side offers views of the Keelung River, with picturesque scenery of distant mountains and nearby waters along the route. The path is smooth and is considered an easy, accessible trail for the public. The Ruifang-Houkeng bicycle route passes through Section 3 of Mingdeng Road in Ruifang, closely adjacent to the Yilan double-track railway, and includes the "New Gan Bridge," which spans the Keelung River. This bridge is designed exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists, prohibiting vehicular traffic. Its surface is adorned with numerous images of miners pushing mining carts, and at night, it features dynamic LED lighting that changes in multiple colors.
