The fortifications are located at the boundary between Sijiaoting and Keelung, built during the Japanese colonial period, primarily as a military defense site. Currently, only a few remnants of barracks and bunkers remain; the barracks mostly consist of crumbled brick walls, while the bunkers are made of stacked stones, with tree roots intertwined around the base. The New Taipei City Government has now designated it as a Level 3 historical site.
