The fortifications are located at the border between Sijiao Pavilion and Keelung, built during the Japanese colonial period, primarily serving as a military defense camp. Currently, only a few remnants of barracks and bunkers remain. The barracks mainly consist of crumbling brick walls, while the bunkers are constructed of stacked stone, with tree roots intertwining around their bases. The New Taipei City Government has recently designated it as a third-level historic site in New Taipei City.
