Liulang Coastal Trail Introduction
The Liulang Path, located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, is one of the routes of the Dahan Ancient Trail. The entrance is next to Parking Lot No. 9. The name "Liulang" is a homophone for "liulóng," which refers to a historical path renovated from the old Liulang Road. This ancient path was used by local residents who lived in the mountains to descend for shopping. In the past, mining and transporting goods relied on a track system that helped navigate steep slopes that human power could not manage. This newly renovated scenic trail, built upon the old Liulang Road, was originally established by ancestors who descended from the mountains to procure goods. In earlier years, Jiufankeng was also a mining site, but it declined due to low production. However, the renovated pathways have provided a fresh experience for visitors. Upon reaching the summit, two viewing platforms offer panoramic views of Keelung, the Ruifang mountain town, and the coastline, all of which are expansive and beautiful.
