Lioufang Road Trail Introduction
The Liuliao Road Scenic Trail, located in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, is one of the northern routes of the Daan Ancient Trail, with its entrance next to Parking Lot No. 9. The name "Liuliao" is derived from the homophone of "liuleng" (流籠). This scenic trail has been renovated from an ancient path that the residents of the mountain used to go down and purchase supplies. In the past, mining and transportation of materials utilized a flume rail to assist with steep slopes that were difficult for manual labor to manage. This scenic trail, renovated from the old flume road, was created by ancestors who paved the way down the mountain to gather supplies. In earlier times, Jiufankeng was also a mining entrance, which fell into decline due to low production. However, after the trail was renovated, visitors find it exceptionally refreshing. At the summit, two lookout points offer views of Keelung, Ruifang Mountain Town, and the coastal scenery, which are expansive and beautiful.
