Turning Crisis into Opportunity, The Birth of Eco-Blue Dyeing. The now-defunct Zhanghu Elementary School faced a severe ecological crisis due to the invasion of the alien plant Mikania micrantha. After efforts by National Formosa University and a group of blue dyeing experts, a successful handmade blue dyeing service was established, transforming the school into a handmade blue dye workshop that promotes ecological spirit and showcases unique characteristics.

Zhanghu Indigo Dyeing Cultural Association Introduction

Turning crisis into opportunity, the ecological indigo dyeing project was born at the already defunct Zhanghu Elementary School. Facing a severe ecological crisis due to the invasion of the foreign plant, Mikania micrantha, the school successfully established an indigo dyeing workshop through the efforts of Hu-Wei University of Science and Technology and several indigo dyeing experts, transforming the school into a handcrafted indigo dyeing studio that promotes ecological awareness with distinct characteristics.
