Erjian Mountain is located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County. It is the subsidiary peak of Dajian Mountain, standing at 1,274 meters. Starting from Zhuzai Ceng, one can hike along the ridge of Dajian Mountain, passing the highest point of Dajian Mountain, which is 1,304 meters and has a first-order triangulation point. After a gentle descent, hikers arrive at a scenic resting spot. Another trailhead starts from behind the Longxing Temple, following the sleeper path. Along the way, there are bamboos and cedar forests, and occasionally, one can pass through tea gardens, adding a unique flavor to the hike. At the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, during cold fronts, there is a chance to witness magnificent sea of clouds, making a walk along the trail feel like entering a paradise. Dajian Mountain's height is 1,299 meters, and there is a first-order triangulation point at the summit ridge, which is about a 15-minute walk apart in the direction of Gukeng where one can overlook the Yunlin-Chiayi Plain and betel nut trees. Heading towards Meishan, one can overlook the valley and tea gardens, with a distant view of Caoling, offering excellent vistas. There are three main trailheads for climbing Dajian Mountain: 1. Huashan 10-5 Trailhead: Located in Huashan Village, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. The climb starts at Huashan Educational Farm at 29k on County Road 149, following the 10-5 trail. The first part of the path consists of stone steps, and the latter part is a rocky trail.

Starting from Zhuzi Mountain, hikers can walk along the ridge of Dajian Mountain, passing by the first-order triangulation point at the peak of Dajian Mountain, which is 1,304 meters above sea level. After a gentle descent, they will reach a great resting spot for climbers. Another trailhead is from behind Longxing Temple, following a wooden plank path to climb. Along the way, apart from bamboo forests and cypress trees, hikers may also traverse tea plantations, adding unique flavors to the experience. Every year, when cold air masses arrive in late autumn and early winter, there is an opportunity to see the magnificent sea of clouds, making walking along the trail feel like stepping into a paradise. Dajian Mountain has a height of 1,299 meters and a first-order triangulation point. The two points are located on the ridge of the mountain and are about a 15-minute walk apart. Towards Gukeng, one can overlook the Yunlin and Chiayi plains and the betel nut trees; in the direction of Meishan, one can gaze at the valley and tea plantations, with a distant view of Caoling, providing excellent visibility. The path is mostly shaded by bamboo forests but has a steeper gradient, making it challenging. 2. Guizai Head 4-1 Trailhead: Located in Huashan Village, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, this trail starts from Guizai Head on Yun 208 Township Road. Hikers will follow the 4-1 and 4-2 trails, passing Erjian Mountain and proceeding along the ridge to Dajian Mountain. This route is the longest and in relatively good condition. 3. Zhuzi Ridge: Located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County, this route is the shortest.

Transportation Methods:【Huashan Education Farm 10-5 Trailhead】Taiwan West Bus 7121 Line: Douliu to Qingshuiqi Bridge, get off at Wuqiping Station to reach the 10-5 Trailhead, with two round trips daily. Taiwan West Bus 7129 Line: Douliu to Kulingjiao, get off at Kulingjiao Station, walk along Yun 212 Provincial Road to County Road 149, about 2.5 kilometers to reach the 10-5 Trailhead, with six round trips on weekdays and five on weekends. Taiwan West Bus 7106 Line: Dou-Nan to Huashan, get off at Huashan Station and walk 4.5 kilometers along County Road 149 to reach the 10-5 Trailhead, with seven round trips daily.
