Erjie Mountain is located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County. It is a subsidiary peak of Dajian Mountain, with an elevation of 1,274 meters. Starting from Zhuzi Cen, one can walk along the ridge of Dajian Mountain, passing by the first-class triangulation point of Dajian Mountain, which is the highest point at 1,304 meters. After that, it gradually descends to a great resting place for hikers. Another trailhead is located behind Longxing Temple, where one climbs along a wooden plank path. Along the way, aside from bamboo groves and camphor trees, one occasionally passes through tea plantations, offering a unique experience. At the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, when cold air masses arrive, there is often an opportunity to witness a magnificent sea of clouds, making the stroll along the paths feel like stepping into a secluded paradise. Dajian Mountain has a height of 1,299 meters and features a first-class triangulation point benchmark. Both are located on the mountain ridge and are about a 15-minute walk apart. Heading towards Gukeng offers a view of the Yunlin-Chiayi Plain and betel nut trees, while the direction towards Meishan provides a view of the valley and tea plantations, as well as a distant view of Caoling, with an excellent vista. Erjin Mountain is located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County. It is a subsidiary peak of Dajian Mountain, with an elevation of 1,274 meters. Starting from Zhuzi Cen, the hike follows the ridgeline of Dajian Mountain, passing by the first-class triangulation point at the peak of Dajian Mountain, which is 1,304 meters high, and then gradually descends to a scenic spot where hikers can rest. Another hiking trail starts from behind the Longxing Temple, climbing along a wooden plank path. Along the way, there are not only bamboo forests but also areas where one occasionally passes through tea plantations, offering a unique experience. At the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, when cold air arrives, there is a chance to witness the magnificent sea of clouds. Strolling along the trail feels like being in a paradise. There are three main hiking trailheads to climb Dajian Mountain: 1. The trail begins with stone step paths and transitions to rocky paths requiring ropes to climb. The path is primarily shaded by bamboo forests, but the slope is steep, making it challenging. 2. Guizaitou 4-1 Trailhead: Located in Huashan Village, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, this trail starts from Guizaitou along Yun 208 Township Road, following trails 4-1 and 4-2 towards Erjin Mountain and then along the ridgeline to Dajian Mountain. This route is the longest with relatively good conditions. 3. Zhuzi Ridge: Located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County, this is the shortest route.

Transportation Methods:【Huashan Education Farm 10-5 Trailhead】Taiwan West Bus Route 7121: Douliu to Qing Shui Bridge, get off at Wuqiping Station to reach the 10-5 Trailhead, with two round trips daily. Taiwan West Bus Route 7129: Douliu to Kulingjiao, get off at Kulingjiao Station, follow Yun 212 Township Road to County Road 149, about 2.5 kilometers on foot to reach the 10-5 Trailhead, with six trips on weekdays and five on weekends. Taiwan West Bus Route 7106: DouNan to Huashan, get off at Huashan Station, walk 4.5 kilometers along County Road 149 to reach the 10-5 Trailhead, with seven round trips daily.
