Erjian Mountain is located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County. It is a subsidiary peak of Dajian Mountain, with an elevation of 1,274 meters. Starting from Zhuzicen, visitors can walk along the ridge of Dajian Mountain, passing the high-point tri-station of Dajian Mountain at an elevation of 1,304 meters. After a gentle descent, hikers arrive at a wonderful resting spot for climbers. Another trailhead is located behind Longxing Temple, where the wooden plank path leads up through bamboo groves and camphor trees, occasionally crossing tea plantations, offering a unique experience. During the late autumn to early winter, when cold fronts arrive, there's a chance to witness a magnificent sea of clouds, making this a serene retreat. Dajian Mountain has an elevation of 1,299 meters with a first-class triangulation station. The two points are located along the ridge at the summit, about a 15-minute walk apart. The direction towards Gukeng offers a view of the Yunlin and Chiayi plains and betel nut trees, while the direction towards Meishan provides a view of the valley and tea plantations, with a distant view of Caoling, offering excellent visibility. There are three main trailheads to Dajian Mountain: 1. Huashan 10-5 Trailhead: Located in Huashan Village, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, the trail begins at Huashan Education Farm at the 29 km mark on County Road 149, following the 10-5 Trail. The initial section of the path consists of stone steps, while the latter part features a rocky trail.

Erjian Mountain is located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County. It is the secondary peak of Dajian Mountain, with an elevation of 1,274 meters. Starting from Zhuzicen, you can walk along the ridge of Dajian Mountain, pass the first-class triangulation point at the peak of Dajian Mountain, which is 1,304 meters high, and then gradually descend to a great spot for hikers to rest. Another trail begins from the back of Longxing Temple, where you can climb along the wooden path. Along the way, you'll pass through bamboo forests and cypress trees, occasionally traversing tea plantations that offer a unique flavor. During the late autumn and early winter when cold air hits, there’s a good chance to witness the magnificent sea of clouds, making walks along the trails feel like being in a paradise. Dajian Mountain has a peak at 1,299 meters, which has a first-class triangulation point's cornerstone. Both are located on the summit ridge, about a 15-minute walk apart. Towards the direction of Gukeng, you can overlook the Yunlin-Chiayi plains and betel palms; towards Meishan, you can enjoy views of the valleys and tea gardens, with a distant sight of Caoling, providing excellent visibility. There are three main trailheads for climbing Dajian Mountain: 1. Huashan 10-5 Trailhead: Located in Huashan Village, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, starting from the Huashan Educational Farm at county road 149, kilometer 29. The first part of the trail consists of stone stairways, and the latter part is a rocky path where you need to grab ropes to climb upwards. The route is mostly shaded by bamboo forests, but the slope is steep and challenging. 2. Guizitoudan 4-1 Trailhead: Located in Huashan Village, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, starting from the G228 County Road at Guizitoudan, following the 4-1 and 4-2 trails, traveling through Erjian Mountain along the ridge to Dajian Mountain. This route is the longest but has better trail conditions. 3. Zhuziling: Located in Longyan Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County, this is the shortest route.

Transportation Methods:[Hualien Education Farm 10-5 Trailhead] Taixi Bus Line 7121: Douliu to Qing Shui Bridge, get off at Wuqiping Station, arrive at 10-5 Trailhead. There are two round trips daily. Taixi Bus Line 7129: Douliu to Kulingjiao, get off at Kulingjiao Station, walk along County Road 149 from Yun 212 Township Road, about 2.5 kilometers to reach 10-5 Trailhead, six trips on weekdays and five trips on holidays. Taixi Bus Line 7106: Dou Nan to Hualien, get off at Hualien Station, walk along County Road 149 about 4.5 kilometers to reach 10-5 Trailhead, seven round trips daily.
