The old building, constructed in 1931, features a style of exposed brick and washed stone. It once served as the police center in the Taixi area, holding significant historical importance and shared memories for many people in their sixties and seventies from the region. After efforts by cultural and historical workers to preserve it, it was officially registered as a historical building in Yunlin County in 2006, and renovations were completed in 2018.
