The historic building, built in 1931, features a design of exposed brick and washed stone. It once served as a police station in the Taixi area, holding significant historical importance and serving as a shared memory for many people in their sixties and seventies from the region. Thanks to the efforts of cultural and historical workers, it was registered as a historic building of Yunlin County in 2006 and underwent renovations completed in 2018.
