Wanzai Wetland Park Introduction
Wanzidi Wetland Park, located in the Xinzhuang District's sub-city center, is the only park in Xinzhuang that combines water-friendly, ecological, recreational, and flood retention functions. "Wanzidi" gets its name from its history as a marshy area in the Zhonggang Drainage Basin. Thanks to the efforts of the Xinzhuang Community College Wetland Service Team, the ecological restoration of the Wanzidi Wetland has slowly begun to bear fruit! They have designated an area in the wetland for water layering, mimicking natural stream channels and planting aquatic plants. Additionally, they constructed the nation’s first artificial floating island to enhance water purification efficiency, providing a good growth and habitat environment for wildlife. The wetland park is well-equipped with facilities including a welcome square, children's play area, splash pool, resting pavilions, and a skating rink, making it suitable not only for leisurely walks but also for families with young children. The splash pool is particularly popular among children as a cool attraction during the hot summer months.
