Wanjiali Wetland Park Introduction
Wanzai Wetland Park, located in the Xinzhuang District of the New Taipei City, is the only park in Xinzhuang that integrates water access, ecology, recreation, and flood retention functions. The name "Wanzai" comes from the area's historical background as a marshland in the Zhonggang Drainage Basin. Thanks to the efforts of the Xinzhuang Community College Wetland Service Team, the ecological restoration of Wanzai Wetland has begun to show results! They have designated a section of the wetland as a cascading water area to mimic natural stream channels, planting aquatic plants while also building the country's first artificial floating island to enhance water purification efficiency, providing a good growth and habitat environment for wildlife. The wetland park is fully equipped with facilities including a welcome plaza, children's play area, splash pool, rest pavilions, and a skating rink, making it a great place to take a stroll and suitable for children to play. Among these facilities, the splash pool is especially popular with kids as a way to cool off during the hot summer months.
