Wanjiting Wetland Park Introduction
Wanzai Wetland Park, located in the New Taipei City district of Xinzhuang, is the only park in Xinzhuang that integrates water-friendly, ecological, recreational, and flood retention functions. The name "Wanzai" originates from the former marshland of the Zhonggang River basin. Thanks to the efforts of the Xinzhuang Community College Wetland Service Team, the ecological restoration of Wanzai Wetland has slowly begun to show results! They have designated an area in the wetland as a water cascade zone, mimicking natural stream channels and planting aquatic plants. They also constructed the country's first artificial floating island to enhance water purification, providing a good growth and habitat environment for wildlife. The wetland park is well-equipped with facilities such as a welcome plaza, children's play area, water play area, resting pavilions, and an ice skating rink. It is not only a great place for a leisurely walk but also ideal for bringing children to play. The water play area is particularly loved by children during the hot summer season.
