Wanzai Wetland Park Introduction
Wanzai Wetland Park, located in the Xinzhung District's sub-central area, is the only park in Xinzhung that combines water-friendly, ecological, recreational, and flood detention functions. The name "Wanzai" comes from the fact that the Zhonggang Drainage area was once a swamp. Thanks to the efforts of the New Taipei City Wetlands Service Team, the ecological restoration of Wanzai Wetland has gradually shown results! They have designated a section of the wetland as a water cascade area, mimicking natural stream channels and planting aquatic plants. They have also constructed the country's first artificial floating island to enhance water purification effectiveness, providing a good growth and habitat environment for wildlife. The wetland park is well-equipped with facilities such as a welcoming plaza, children's playground, wading pool, resting pavilions, and an ice-skating rink. It is suitable not only for walking but also for bringing children along to play. The wading pool is especially a favorite summer attraction for kids during the hot summer months.
