Wanzai Wetland Park Introduction
Wanzadi Wetland Park, located in the New Taipei City district of Xinzhuang, is the only park in Xinzhuang that combines water-friendly, ecological, recreational, and flood retention functions. The name "Wanzadi" comes from the fact that the former Zhonggang River basin was a swamp area. Thanks to the efforts of the Xinzhuang Community College Wetland Service Team, the ecological restoration in Wanzadi Wetland has slowly begun to show results! They have designated an area within the wetland as a water stacking zone, mimicking the natural flow of streams and planting aquatic plants. Additionally, they built the nation's first artificial floating island to enhance water purification efficiency, providing a good growth and habitat environment for wildlife. The wetland park is well-equipped with facilities, including a welcoming plaza, children's play area, wading pool, resting pavilions, and skating rink, making it an ideal place not only for walking but also for bringing children to play. Among these, the wading pool is particularly popular during the hot summer months, serving as a favorite spot for kids to cool off.
