Fulong Ocean Station Introduction
The Ocean Station is part of the Coast Guard Administration's efforts aligned with the Executive Yuan's "Salute to the Ocean" policy, transforming the Coast Guard Office into an educational and recreational facility. There are a total of 12 stations across Taiwan, with the Fulong Ocean Station being the first, divided into Fulong Branch and Longmen Branch. The Fulong Branch is located next to Fulong Fishing Port in Gongliao, about a 10-minute walk from Fulong Train Station. The Longmen Branch is situated near Longmen Beach and the mouth of the Shuangxi River, close to Fulong Beach, Sandiaojiao Lighthouse, and the Old Caoling Tunnel. Due to the low and stable water level of the Shuangxi River, it has become a recreational hub for activities such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. The station provides guided services and offers facilities such as an outdoor washing area, outdoor resting area, indoor bathroom facilities, and accessible restrooms.
