Dawu Heart Southern Link Station Introduction
Dawu Heart South-Link Station has a vast area, including a two-story building of 560 ping, capable of accommodating 78 motorcycles, 112 cars, and 17 buses, making it comparable in scale to highway rest stops. As the largest rest area in Taitung County, it is also one of the few large recreational spots along the South-Link Highway. Besides providing a resting place for travelers, Dawu Heart South-Link Station will serve as a showcase for local features. The market offers many famous Taitung snacks such as indigenous almo, well-known local buns, and dishes made with Taitung's natural, pollution-free organic ingredients and herbs. In addition to these well-known eateries, the market also features agricultural creation stalls and local Taitung products from small farmers, allowing travelers to purchase souvenirs crafted from local materials. The irregularly held outdoor market will bring surprises to the journey, enabling travelers to acquire not only souvenirs and agricultural products but also a connection to the local community. Dawu Heart South-Link Station also has a large area dedicated to showcasing local ethnic groups, culture, and products from Dawu Township. In conjunction with the recently launched “South-Link Arts Festival,” there is an art installation titled "The Blue of No. 1314" near the Dawu Fishing Port breakwater, allowing travelers at Dawu Heart South-Link Station to gain not just rest, souvenirs, and agricultural and fishery specialties, but also an understanding of Taitung’s cultural richness and experience the artistic energy of Pengpai.
