Dawu Heart Southern Link Station Introduction
Dawu Heart South Link Station has a vast area, featuring a two-story building of 560 ping, with parking spaces for 78 scooters, 112 small cars, and 17 large buses, rivaling the scale of highway rest areas. As the largest rest area in Taitung County, it is also one of the few large rest points along the South Link Highway. Besides providing a resting spot for travelers, Dawu Heart South Link Station will also serve as a showcase for local specialties. The market has many famous Taitung snacks, such as indigenous A-Muan, well-known local buns, and dishes made with Taitung's natural, pollution-free organic ingredients and herbs. In addition to these renowned stores, the market features agricultural innovation exhibition booths and consignment stands for local Taitung products, allowing travelers to purchase souvenirs cleverly made using local materials. The periodically held outdoor markets will add surprises to the journey, enabling travelers to obtain not only souvenirs and agricultural products but also a connection to the local community. Dawu Heart South Link Station also has a spacious area to showcase the unique characteristics of local ethnic groups, culture, and products in Dawu Township. Coupled with the recently launched "South Link Art Season," nearby at Dawu Fishing Port, there is an art installation titled "No. 1314 Blue," allowing travelers at Dawu Heart South Link Station to experience not just rest, souvenirs, and agricultural and fishery specialties, but also to understand Taitung's rich culture and appreciate the vibrant energy of Pen Pai's art.
