Nantian Coastal Water Park Introduction
Nantian Coast Waterfront Park is located between the Upper Nantian Tribe and the Lower Nantian Tribe in Daren Township. Follow Provincial Highway 9 to Provincial Highway 26, and continue for about 200 meters to see the vast Pacific Ocean, where you can enjoy its diverse beauty as the weather changes. Stroll through the park and feel the gentle breeze. Alongside the waterfront park, you can see the black Nantian stones adorned with white quartz; each Nantian stone has a unique pattern and is notably smooth, making it a target for many stone collectors. (A friendly reminder: The Taitung County Government has prohibited the removal of Nantian stones; visitors are encouraged to appreciate their beauty on the beach!) In addition to Nantian Coast Waterfront Park, you can also visit the Nantian Tribe and the Nantian Cultural Scenic Viewpoint within a few minutes' drive. The southernmost Nantian Tribe in Taitung is a settlement of the Paiwan people, who have jointly created a "Tribal Library" as a place for acquiring knowledge and wisdom. The library's exterior features totems like the hundred-step snake and ladybug, embodying rich Paiwan culture. The Nantian Cultural Scenic Viewpoint offers a panoramic view of Nantian Coast Waterfront Park and the Nantian Tribe. Nearby, there is a 500-meter-long cultural scenic cycling path in Daren Township, which ascends to provide an even broader view of the ocean!
