Taoyuan North District Hakka Association Introduction
The "North District Hakka Cultural Center," located in Bade District, officially opened on October 23, 2021. The northern Taoyuan area has about 260,000 Hakka people, and the center’s main mission is to connect the local Hakka historical and cultural context, fostering cultural identity among the Hakka community. The center focuses on Hakka poetry, Hakka mountain songs, and local Hakka culture. Inside, there are exhibitions dedicated to the Hakka poet Du Pan-fang and the Hakka mountain song national treasure Lai Bi-xia, hoping to promote the inheritance and dissemination of Hakka culture through their outstanding artistic achievements. The center includes music and dance classrooms, multipurpose classrooms, briefing rooms, and a Hakka concert hall that can accommodate 200 seats.
