Ching Kuo Seven Seas Cultural Park Introduction
The Jingguo Qihai Cultural Park covers an area of 3.98 hectares, with a building base of about 2,000 ping. The surrounding area retains large green spaces, public art, and waterfront walking paths, with the architectural design harmonizing with the natural environment, aiming for a diamond-level green building certification. The park centers around the Qihai Residence heritage site and the Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library, complemented by a visitor center, and features beautiful views of Qihai Pond and Jiantan Mountain, along with a lakeside trail, creating an integrated cultural park. Our principle in planning and operating this important historic site is to commemorate Mr. Jingguo, revitalize the heritage, and sustain its historical vitality, hoping it will become a new attraction for in-depth cultural tourism in Taipei City and a new cultural landmark with rich historical significance. The Qihai Residence was the living space of Mr. Jingguo and his wife, with simple furnishings that reflect Mr. Jingguo's unpretentious nature and approachable demeanor. The Qihai Residence also has a waiting area for visitors, where important events, artifacts, scenic tours of the residence, as well as architectural and ecological introductions of the residence are displayed. The first exhibition hall focuses on the theme "The Promoter of Taiwan's Modernization," introducing Mr. Jingguo's life history and family life, showcasing his personality traits, important achievements, and life experiences. The second exhibition hall features the theme "Reflections of the Years," guiding visitors back to the era of Mr. Jingguo through his diaries, perspectives from his attendants and subordinates, and his calligraphy and painting works, allowing visitors to understand different aspects of Mr. Jingguo.
