Jingguo Seven Seas Cultural Park Introduction
The Jingguo Qihai Cultural Park covers an area of 3.98 hectares, with a building site of approximately 2,000 pings. Surrounding the park are large green spaces with plantings, public art, and waterfront trails. The architectural design harmonizes with the natural environment, aiming for diamond-level green building certification. The park is centered around the Qihai Residence historic site and the Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library, featuring a visitor center that combines the scenic beauty of Qihai Pond and Jiantan Mountain, along with a lakeside trail, creating an overall cultural park. We operate this important historic residence under the principle of commemorating Mr. Jingguo, revitalizing the historic site, and continuing the vitality of history, hoping to become a new attraction for in-depth cultural tourism in Taipei City and a new cultural landmark rich in historical significance. Qihai Residence served as the living space for Mr. Jingguo and his wife, with simple furnishings reflecting Mr. Jingguo's unpretentious and approachable demeanor. The Qihai Residence also has a visitor waiting area where significant events, artifacts, a guided tour of the residence, and introductions to the architecture and ecology of the residence are showcased. The first exhibition hall is themed "The Promoter of Taiwan's Modernization," introducing Mr. Jingguo's life experiences and family life, presenting his personality traits, significant political achievements, and life experiences. The second exhibition hall is themed "Reflections of Time," guiding visitors back to the era of Mr. Jingguo through his diaries, perspectives of his aides and associates, and his calligraphy and paintings, allowing visitors to understand various facets of Mr. Jingguo.
