Chiang Kai-shek 7 Seas Cultural Park Introduction
The Jingguo Qihai Cultural Park covers an area of 3.98 hectares, with the building site approximately 2,000 ping. The park retains a large area of green space, public art, and waterfront walking paths, harmonizing architectural design with the natural environment to meet the goal of a Diamond-level green building. At the core of the park are the Qihai Residence historic site and the Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library, supplemented by a visitor center. It combines the beautiful scenery of Qihai Pond and Jiantan Mountain with a lakeside walking path, forming a comprehensive cultural park. Our planning and operation of this important residence aim to honor Mr. Jingguo, revitalize the historic site, and extend the vitality of history. We hope to become a new destination for in-depth cultural tourism in Taipei City and a new cultural landmark with rich historical significance. The Qihai Residence served as the living space for Mr. Jingguo and his wife, with simple interior furnishings reflecting Mr. Jingguo's unpretentious character and approachable demeanor. The Qihai Residence also features a visitor waiting area, showcasing major events at the residence, cultural relics, a guided tour of the surroundings, and introductions to the architecture and ecology of the residence. The first exhibition hall focuses on the theme "Promoter of Taiwan's Modernization," presenting Mr. Jingguo's life events and family life, showcasing his personality traits, significant achievements, and life experiences. The second exhibition hall revolves around the theme "Reflections of Time," leading visitors back to Mr. Jingguo's era through his diary, perspectives from his aides and associates, as well as his calligraphy and painting works, allowing visitors to understand different aspects of Mr. Jingguo.
