Chiang Ko Seven Seas Cultural Park Introduction
The Jingguo Qihai Cultural Park covers a total area of 3.98 hectares, with a building area of approximately 2,000 ping. The park preserves a large green area, public art, and waterfront walking paths around its perimeter, with a design that harmonizes with the natural environment, aiming for a diamond-level green building certification. The park features the historical site of Qihai Residence and the Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library as its core, along with a visitor center that incorporates the beautiful scenery of Qihai Pond and Jiantan Mountain, as well as the lakeside walking path, creating a comprehensive cultural park. Our aim is to honor Mr. Jingguo, revitalize the historical site, and extend the vitality of history. We hope this important residence will become a new tourist destination for in-depth cultural experiences in Taipei City, as well as a new cultural landmark with rich historical significance. Qihai Residence served as the living space for Mr. Jingguo and his wife, with simple furnishings that reflect Mr. Jingguo's unpretentious and approachable demeanor. The residence also features a visitor waiting area, where important events, relics, scenic guides of the residence, and introductions to its architecture and ecology are displayed. The first exhibition hall focuses on the theme "Promoter of Taiwan's Modernization," introducing Mr. Jingguo's life and family experiences, highlighting his personality traits, significant achievements, and life experiences. The second exhibition hall is themed "Reflections on Time," leading visitors back to Mr. Jingguo's era through his diaries, perspectives from his attendants and subordinates, and his calligraphy and paintings, allowing visitors to understand different aspects of Mr. Jingguo.
