Taiwan Modern Music Bell Museum Introduction
Step into the magical world of music boxes! The Taiwan Modern Music Box Museum was founded by Hsieh-Ying Precision, a local company in Wufeng with 43 years of history, and is the only factory producing music boxes for export to Japan's Sankyo. Nestled in the culturally rich and musically inclined Wufeng, Taichung, the melodious tunes that travel from the Otaru Music Box Museum in Hokkaido come from music boxes manufactured by Hsieh-Ying, truly a shining example of Taiwan! The museum is now open for the public to visit and experience handcrafting music boxes. Everyone is welcome to step into the colorful world of music boxes. At the Music Box Museum, over a hundred antique European music boxes from more than 140 years ago are on display, along with a variety of music boxes made from different materials and styles, disc and cylinder music boxes with interchangeable tunes, exquisite music boxes ranging from 30 to 100 notes, and intelligent music boxes capable of playing one or unlimited tunes. A demonstration room explains the structure and principles of standard music boxes, showcasing various types of music box movements and every component of a standard music box movement, detailing the materials used and the methods of production. The vibration plate tuning workshop is open for visitors to observe live tuning, providing insight into the principles behind the different pitch levels of each note in music boxes and the complexities of tuning. Expert guides will also show you the beautiful tones of a large music box valued at two million NTD, opening your heart to relaxation and joy. In the Music Box Movement Assembly Experience Classroom, enter the DIY workshop and personally experience how a master assembles various components into a melodious music box. Bring your carefulness, patience, and focus, and indulge in the craftsmanship of music boxes! Steam Little Train: This track-style steam train can accommodate 16 passengers in 4 carriages and features a dreamy tunnel, enhancing the enchantment of the ride. Baoluyuan Leisure Facilities: Various recreational facilities are available (such as a grass slide, colorful climbing rocks, tree houses, trampolines, and rocking bugs) for families to enjoy together for free. Music boxes possess a unique magic and charm that captivates both adults and children, bringing forth dreamy and wonderful imaginations. The delightful melodies emitted from music boxes invoke cherished memories and provide a space for mental relaxation, and they have historically contributed to Taiwan’s foreign exchange success and documented over 40 years of music box history in Taiwan.
