Taiwan Modern Music Bell Museum Introduction
The Taiwan Modern Music Box Museum invites you to explore the magical world of music boxes. Established by the 43-year-old local company, Hsieh Ying Precision, in Wufeng, it is the only factory producing music boxes exported to Japan's Sankyo. Nestled in the culturally rich and musically inclined Wufeng, Taichung, the delightful melodies emanating from the Otaru Music Box Museum in Hokkaido actually come from the music boxes manufactured by Hsieh Ying, making it a true gem of Taiwan! The museum is now open for the public to visit and experience hands-on music box making, welcoming everyone to step into the vibrant world of music boxes. The museum features over 140 antique music boxes from Europe, a variety of music boxes made from different materials and styles, disk-type and cylinder-type music boxes with replaceable songs, exquisite music boxes ranging from 30 to 100 notes, and intelligent music boxes with single songs or infinite songs. It includes an explanation room detailing the structure and principles of standard music boxes, showcasing different types of music box movements and every component of a standard music box movement, along with the materials and manufacturing methods used for each part. The vibration plate tuning workshop allows for on-site tuning and is open for public viewing, helping visitors understand the principles behind the varying pitches of the music comb and the challenges of tuning. Guided tours will also let you enjoy the beautiful tones of a large music box worth two million yuan, opening your heart to a relaxing experience. In the music box movement assembly experience classroom, you can enter the DIY classroom to personally experience how craftsmen assemble various parts into a melodious music box, putting your care, patience, and focus into the process. The steam-powered miniature train features four carriages and 16 seats, with a dreamlike tunnel adding an element of fantasy to the ride. The leisure facilities at Baole Garden include various recreational amenities (turf slides, colorful climbing walls, tree houses, trampolines, rocking bugs, etc.) available for free for family fun. Music boxes possess a magical allure that captivates both adults and children, sparking dreams and beautiful imaginations.
