Monga Old Street (Taipei's First Street) Introduction
The narrow definition of Monga Old Street refers to the area around Guiyang Street in front of Qingshan Temple in Monga. Formerly known as "Sweet Potato Market Street," it is called the "First Street of Taipei" and is the oldest street in Taipei City. It is also the starting point of Monga's prosperity, and to this day, it retains some brick buildings with characteristics from the Qing Dynasty and the Japanese colonial period.
