Monga Old Street (Taipei First Street) Introduction

The narrow definition of Monga Old Street refers to the area around Guiyang Street in front of the Qingshan Temple, formerly known as "Sweet Potato Market Street." It is called the first street of Taipei and is the oldest street in Taipei City. It marks the starting point of Monga's prosperity and still retains some brick architectural features from the Qing Dynasty and Japanese colonial era.
