Fuji Harbor Introduction
Fugang, formerly known as "Monkey," was the first stop for the indigenous people of the East Coast when they migrated from Green Island. From here, they moved along the coastline, leaving some archaeological remains in the vicinity. The indigenous people still reside on the higher coastal terrace to the southwest of the current harbor area. After the establishment of Fugang Fishing Port, some residents relocated to the western coastal terrace near the fishermen, which was once the old Fugang New Village, predominantly inhabited by Han ethnic groups. Residents who relied on agriculture lived along the streets.
