The Dashi Scenic Area boasts a coastline characterized by its continuous columnar basalt sea cliffs, connecting to a small cape that extends into the sea to the east, creating a dynamic coastal landscape. The unique shapes and hues contrast strikingly with the surrounding white waves, enhancing its grandeur. The formation resembles a stone lion crouching on the cliff, gazing out over the vast ocean amidst the turbulent waters and the misty sky, which is how it got its name "Dashi."
