Yueili Bay Recreation Area Introduction
The crescent-shaped Moon Fish Bay is a natural small cove and was the earliest port for fishermen of Qimei Island to engage in nearshore operations. Currently, only a small area on the southern side has been developed into a simple "Moon Harbor." The beach at Moon Fish Bay, composed of white coral rubble, is not only the only swimming area in Qimei but also highly suitable for snorkeling activities. The nearby basalt formations are exceptionally developed, with columnar basalt displaying unique shapes such as horizontal, radial, and interlaced arrangements, making them quite spectacular and diverse; coastal erosion features are also visible everywhere. Popular activities include stargazing at night, evening barbecues, and afternoon snorkeling to admire the stunning corals. These are the three major pastimes at the Moon Fish swimming area, complemented by complete camping facilities including pavilions and restrooms, making it the best camping area in Qimei.
