Little Taiwan is located to the northeast of Qimei Islet in Penghu County. Starting from Niumuping and heading north along the coastal highway, you'll encounter a viewing pavilion after passing a sloped section. From this pavilion, you can admire the results of years of wave erosion, which have formed a sea-eroded platform resembling Little Taiwan, hence the name Qimei Little Taiwan. There are also rocks that resemble Guishan Island at the same location, which become more pronounced during low tide.

Little Taiwan Introduction

Little Taiwan is located to the northeast of Qimei Island in Penghu County. By driving north along the coastal highway from Niumuping, you will come across a viewing pavilion at a sloping section. From the pavilion, you can observe the result of years of wave erosion that has created an erosion platform resembling Little Taiwan, hence its name Qimei Little Taiwan. There are also rocks resembling Guishan Island in the same area, which become more distinct when the tide is low.

Transportation Methods：1. Little Taiwan is located in Qimei Township, and you can choose to fly or take a boat to Qimei Township. After arriving, you can either ride a scooter or take a bus. From Nanhuharbor, follow County Road 43 along the Penghu archipelago, and through the Yue Liwan Recreation Area, head north along the coastal road to reach Little Taiwan. 2. If you choose to take a boat, you need to take the Transportation Ferry from Nanhai Yacht Harbor in the city area or a private speedboat (operating only during peak seasons) to get there. The boat ride takes about 70 minutes (the transportation ferry takes 2 hours). 3. If you choose to fly, daily flights are available by TransAsia Airways between Magong, Qimei, and Kaohsiung.
