Shuanglong Waterfall Rainbow Bridge Introduction
Shuanglong Waterfall Park (opened on January 1, 2025, for self-driving vehicles) is located in the southeastern part of the Shuanglong Tribe. It features both upper and lower waterfalls, resembling two dragons soaring in the sky, hence its name. The journey from the Catholic Church to Shuanglong Waterfall takes about 60 minutes, offering scenic views of the Shuanglong settlement and terraced fields along the way. The trail to the waterfall is lined with cherry blossom and plum trees, and during blooming season, their subtle floral fragrance helps ease the exhaustion of the hike. The Shuanglong Colorful Suspension Bridge, opened in 2020, is 342 meters long and 110 meters deep, making it the longest and deepest suspension bridge in Taiwan. It stretches across a magnificent valley and presents a challenging experience. With well-designed circular trails and observation platforms, it is ideal for leisurely walks in the mountains and enjoying the beauty of indigenous tribes. The Water Source Suspension Bridge is designated solely for transporting drinking water and can only be accessed by maintenance personnel, making it off-limits to the public. Additionally, there is a narrow yet powerful irrigation ditch supplying water for the entire village's crops; the beautiful source of Shuanglong Waterfall is crucial for the livelihood of the community. As one enters the lower waterfall area of the canyon referred to as the "Black Forest," the roaring sound of the waterfall grows louder. Visitors can appreciate the magnificent waterfall cascading down the mountainside, enjoying the refreshing mist that washes away the dust of the mundane world. After visiting Shuanglong Waterfall, you might just feel like "a lively dragon" yourself. *Please note: The Old Water Source Suspension Bridge is designated for inspection and maintenance workers only; visitors are advised to stop!*
