Shuanglong Waterfall Rainbow Suspension Bridge Introduction
Shuanglong Waterfall Park (January 1, 2025, opened to visitor self-driving vehicles) is located southeast of Shuanglong Village, featuring both the upper and lower waterfalls, named for their resemblance to two dragons in the sky. It takes about 60 minutes to drive from the Catholic Church to Shuanglong Waterfall, where visitors can enjoy the beauty of Shuanglong settlement and terraced fields along the way. The trail leading to the waterfall is lined with cherry and plum trees, and during flowering seasons, the faint fragrance of blossoms wafts in the air, easing the burden of the journey. The Shuanglong Colorful Suspension Bridge, opened in 2020, stretches 342 meters long and reaches a depth of 110 meters, making it the longest and deepest suspension bridge in Taiwan. It spans a magnificent valley and offers a challenging experience with a complete circular trail and scenic platforms, suitable for leisurely walks in the forest and experiencing the beauty of indigenous villages. The water source suspension bridge is designated for transporting drinking water, and only maintenance personnel are allowed to enter this restricted area; the general public can only admire it from afar. Additionally, there is a narrow yet powerful water channel that supplies irrigation for the entire village's crops; the beautiful source of Shuanglong Waterfall is crucial for the livelihoods of the community. As one transitions into the lower waterfall area of the gorge, known as the "Black Forest," the booming sound of the waterfall grows louder. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent flow of water cascading down the mountain walls and feel refreshed by the mist, washing away the dust of the mundane world. After visiting Shuanglong Waterfall, one might feel like "a lively dragon" themselves. Please note that the old water source suspension bridge is reserved for inspection and maintenance personnel, and visitors should refrain from entering!
