Shuanglong Waterfall Rainbow Bridge Introduction
Shuanglong Waterfall Park (opened to self-driving visitors on January 1, 2025) is located southeast of Shuanglong Village. The waterfall is divided into an upper and lower section, named after the appearance of two dragons soaring in the sky. It takes about 60 minutes to drive from the Catholic Church to Shuanglong Waterfall, where visitors can enjoy the beauty of Shuanglong Settlement and terraced fields along the way. The path leading to the waterfall is lined with mountain cherry and plum trees, and during the flowering season, a faint fragrance of blossoms wafts in the air, easing the journey's fatigue. The Shuanglong Rainbow Suspension Bridge, opened in 2020, is 342 meters long and 110 meters deep, making it the longest and deepest suspension bridge in Taiwan. It spans a magnificent valley and offers a challenging experience, with a complete circular trail and viewpoint platforms suitable for leisurely strolls in the forest and experiencing the beauty of indigenous tribes. The water source suspension bridge is exclusively for the conveyance of drinking water and can only be accessed by maintenance personnel, making it off-limits to the general public. Additionally, there is a fast-flowing irrigation ditch, narrow yet powerful, providing water for all the village's agricultural needs; the beautiful source of Shuanglong Waterfall is crucial to the livelihood of the entire village. Turning into the downstream waterfall area known as the "Black Forest," the roar of the waterfall grows louder; enjoy the magnificent cascade rushing down the mountain walls and the refreshing mist it brings, washing away the dust of the mundane world. After visiting Shuanglong Waterfall, you may feel like "a living dragon" yourself. ■ The old water source suspension bridge is designated for maintenance personnel; visitors please refrain from entering!
