Zhengde Big Buddha Introduction
The Zhengde Puli Giant Buddha Mountain is the tallest outdoor gilded Amitabha Buddha in the world, weighing a total of 1,230 tons, with a height of 170 feet and covering an area of 240 ping. The Buddha statue itself is made of bronze, weighing 320 tons, and the steel structure weighs 910 tons. It is composed of 808 bronze plates and has 396 coils of hair. The statue is situated in the Puli mountainous area, known for its pleasant scenery and climate, with overlapping peaks. The entire construction was personally planned and designed by the founder, Master Shang Lyu. The complex features Japanese-style architecture, which is simple yet elegant. Additionally, the various facilities around the giant Buddha will serve multiple educational purposes, attracting more people to Buddhism and providing peace and comfort for their bodies and minds.
