Zhengde Buddha Introduction
The Zhengde Puli Giant Buddha Mountain is the tallest outdoor gilded Amitabha Buddha in the world, weighing a total of 1,230 tons, standing 170 feet tall, and covering an area of 240 ping. The Buddha statue is made of bronze weighing 320 tons, with a steel framework of 910 tons, and it is constructed from 808 pieces of copper, featuring 396 spiral hair strands. It is located in the Puli mountainous area, known for its pleasant weather and overlapping peaks. The entire structure was personally planned and designed by the founder, Master Chang Lu, and is built in traditional Japanese architectural style, exuding simplicity and elegance. Furthermore, the comprehensive facilities surrounding the Buddha will serve various educational functions, drawing more people closer to Buddhist teachings and providing peace for both body and mind.
