Quas in the Bunun language means Zeikudaing, which translates to "big bend." The Mandarin name is "土虱灣" (Tushowan). The flow of the Zhuoshui River loops here, creating a large bay surrounded by peaks in a 180-degree arc, hence the name. The natural landscape is quite unique.
