Tushih Bay, known in the Bunun language as Zeikudaing, meaning "large bend," is named for its unique geographic feature. The flow of the Zhuoshui River meanders here, winding through the gorge to form a large bay surrounded by peaks that loop 180 degrees, resulting in a distinctive natural landscape.
