Jiji Military History Park Introduction

Jiji Military History Park is Taiwan's first themed park showcasing retired weapons of the Republic of China Armed Forces, covering an area of over 2,000 pings. Established after the September 21 earthquake in 1999, the park was created in collaboration with the Jiji Township Office and central government agencies to revitalize local tourism and promote national defense education, becoming a unique attraction that combines tourism, recreation, and military culture. The park displays a variety of retired military equipment from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, including F-104 fighter jets, C-119 transport planes, M18, M41, and M48 tanks, artillery, the S-300 missile, and amphibious landing vehicles, allowing visitors to experience a military battlefield and deeply understand the history and development of the military's weaponry. The park's distinctive red brick fortress-style building has become a popular photo spot, adding fun and historical atmosphere. The Military History Park has improved its landscape environment and planned inclusive recreational facilities, adding a parent-child play area, bird's nest swings, see-saws, and more, making it a suitable leisure place for families. The park offers ample parking space and public restrooms, with convenient transportation just about 800 meters from Jiji Railway Station, making it easy for visitors to walk or ride there.
