NTU Forest Product Processing Plant Introduction
Shuili Township was historically a hub for the lumber industry in Taiwan. In 1958, the National Taiwan University Experimental Forest set up a wood utilization training factory in Shuili, aimed at providing a practical site for students of the Forestry Department to engage in experiment research, lumber processing, wood furniture development, and wood product manufacturing. To showcase the achievements of product creation in 2009, a Wood Utilization and Product Display Center was established, highlighting the unique significance of Shuili Township in Taiwan's timber industry development history. This also provides tourists with an additional resting spot in their travel route around Sun Moon Lake, following Checheng and Shebei.
