NTU Forest Management Research Institute Training Factory Introduction
Shuili Township was once a hub for Taiwan's timber industry. In 1958, the National Taiwan University Experimental Forest established a timber utilization training factory in Shuili, aiming to provide a practical training site for forestry students, combining experimental research, lumber processing, wooden furniture development, and wooden product production. In 2009, the Timber Utilization and Product Display Center was established to showcase the achievements in product manufacturing, highlighting Shuili Township's unique significance in the history of Taiwan's timber industry development. It also offers tourists a new resting point along the travel route of Sun Moon Lake, following Checheng and Shebai.
