Shuili Bicycle Path - Shuili Waterfront Line Introduction
The Shui Li River originates from the Sun Moon Lake, Tou She, Chong Gui, and Wu Cheng basins. The valley has the Jiji Railway reaching the secret garden of Che Cheng. Che Cheng was once a major hub for Taiwan's timber industry. The bike path runs along the west bank of the Shui Li River upstream to Che Cheng and downstream to Shui Yun Bridge and Shui Li Riverside Park, covering a total distance of about 4 kilometers with a gentle slope in the urban waterfront area. The section toward Che Cheng poses a slight challenge, but riding a bicycle along the way allows you to enjoy the traditional timber industry of Che Cheng, the scenic views along the Shui Li River, and experience the simple local life of Shui Li.
