Shuili Bicycle Path - Shuili Waterfront Line Introduction
The Shuili River originates from the Sun Moon Lake, Toushe, Chonggui, and Wucheng basins in the mountainous area. The valley features the Jiji Railway leading to the Secret Garden in Checheng. Checheng was once a significant hub for the timber industry in Taiwan. The bike path runs along the western shore of the Shuili River upstream to Checheng, and downstream to Shuiyun Bridge and Shuili Riverside Park, covering approximately 4 kilometers with a gentle slope in the urban waterfront area. The route towards Checheng is slightly challenging, but cycling allows for a scenic view of Checheng's traditional timber industry, the landscape along the Shuili River, and an experience of the simple local life in Shuili.
