Shuili Bicycle Path - Shuili Riverside Line Introduction
The Shuili River originates from the mountainous areas of Sun Moon Lake, Toushe, Chonggui, and Wucheng. The valley has the Jiji Railway that reaches the Secret Garden - Checheng. Checheng was once a pivotal area for the timber manufacturing industry in Taiwan. The bike path runs along the west bank of the Shuili River upstream to Checheng and downstream to Shuiyun Bridge and Shuili Waterfront Park, making for a total distance of about 4 kilometers, with a gentle slope along the urban waterfront. The route toward Checheng is slightly more challenging, but cycling allows you to enjoy the traditional wood industry of Checheng, the scenic views along the Shuili River, and experience the simple local life of Shuili.
